My chicken Dolly was deathly ill yesterday (yes I said chicken). I rang many vets who either charged $65 plus meds plus $45 to put her down, or just couldn't fit her in. Dolly was suffering badly. I rang this vet, the receptionist past info back and forth and said bring her in immediately. Dr Austen is a lovely sympathetic man - he has chickens and totally understood. He spent a good 20 minutes examining her and explaining to me that she was too light and had no condition or energy to fight the infection, and we put her to sleep. I didnt want her suffering anymore. He charged a small fee for all that, and was so informative and helpful. I highly regard him and his practice, A BIG thank you
