I took my whelping bitch here on a public holiday and staff were quick, calm and helpful, once I got my bill I expected it to be more. I thought the charges were reasonable.

My Student Daughter took her dog here last night after he had been poisoned. The receptionist told her it would be $950 she asked if she could do a payment plan they said yes $450 last night and 500 this morning. When she asked what happens if you couldn't pay they told her to take the dog home! So I'm not sure where the Compassionate bit they talk about comes in. The dog spent the night on a drip and was discharged this morning with instructions to take him to our own regular vet. Next time I'll book him into Flinders Private hospital as they charge less for a room and t.v. and meals are provided. Unfortunately I would love to say I will never use this Vet again but as I won't watch an animal suffer and they are the only 24hr service around I will just pray that my animals only get sick within normal hours in future. They have a monopoly and they know it and the care of the animal comes in a poor second to the money factor!
