When my puppy was really sick, I went to this hospital and puppies heart rate was 200, which was perfectly normal for a small size puppy, the vet there told me she expected 160, and the normal heart rate for dog is 160 which is wrong. She told me my puppy's belly was very sore and tensed and she did not know why. She had absolutely no idea, why it was even sick. All she wanted me to do keep the puppy their over night. Luckily we took the puppy to the another 24 hr vet in Malvern East who knew what they were doing. The specialist diagnosed the problem straight away, and we left it with 24hr Vet in Malvern East. This 24hr is unprofessional; and unskilled. If your pet is sick probably better for you take it to another 24hr vet.

The staff at CARE took such great care of my pug Lulu. Dr Guy Yates operated on her and he was gentle and caring and understood how difficult I found the process. Lulu was then transferred to ICU and she was cared for by the ICU team headed up by Dr Merrin Hicks. Merrin was tentative and always made time to speak to me when I came in to visit my dog. The nurses were fantastic and the vets and nurses always returned my calls and listened to my concerns. I recommend this vet clinic to all of my friends with animals. I wouldn't hesitate in going back there (although i hope I don't need to!!!). Thanks for the team at CARE!

CARE did such a great job looking after my chihuahua Hugo when he had his operation! Hugo is usually very nervous when he goes to the vet but the staff at CARE gave him lots of cuddles and made him feel at home. Hugo had a speedy recovery after his operation and I would not hesitate in taking him back to CARE in the future.

Not impressed. I found the nurses caring and engaged with my dog, but not the vets, who I found cold and clinical (with the exception of one non-regular vet). I had to have my dog put down and do I not believe I was looked after. At the time of holding my dog I was rushed through the options of what it do with her corpse. I chose cremation, which I was told would take two weeks. I asked whether I had to pay in advance and was told I could pay later, which I assumed meant on completion. I was not asked for a deposit. I also thought the vet took my dead dog away too quickly and did not give me adequate time with her. I telephoned after three weeks to ask about the delay and was told that my dog was not picked up by the cremation agency until the following week and that the process in fact took a month. When I telephoned after six weeks to complain of the service I was told they would call me back. Two hours later I was told that my dog was still in storage (ie a freezer) because I said I was unable to pay for the cremation and that my dog's body was being held until such time as I paid. I did not say this, was not told these conditions, and no one contacted me to follow up. I was extremely upset and angry at the thought of my dog lying in a freezer all that time and cried all day. What I had been told at the three-week mark was obvioulsy an outright lie. I asked that the head vet, Merrin Hicks, to call me with and apology and an explanation, but received none, even though I did pay subsequently. Two weeks later and I since heard nothing about my dog.

Despite the pet not being mine the staff were still sensitive and friendly. I was surrendering a deceased stray, the staff were friendly and advised that the stray was not microchipped, although the cat was not mine I had recently lost a cat myself, their compassion was very appreciated.
