WORST VETERINARY CLINIC EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got recommended to go to this clinic by the council to have my cat de-sexed. The council was generous enough to give me a voucher to get a discounted price as I am only on Centrelink. I rang Cat Lovers and explained what was needed to be done and I mentioned I had been given a voucher from the council, the response I got was that with or without a voucher the price is the same!! ??? I am guessing they are "Double Dipping" by taking the voucher and being reimbursed the difference and taking full payment from me!! This was annoying enough but then to top it off they are completely Negligent!! I dropped my cat off at 10am to have De-Sexing procedure, I rang at 12:30 Lunchtime to ask how my cat was going and if everything was o.k The receptionist went and asked and came back saying everything went great and I could pick up my cat at 1pm. 3 hrs after I dropped it off?? I went to collect my cat at 1pm as asked, and arrived to be given my cat in a cat cage and was told not to let her out of the house for 24hrs and to make sure that she doesn't pull out the stitches. (which meant I had to apparently sit with her all day and night for 7 days until the stitches came out) My cat had been given NO ecollar at all to stop her from being able to reach her stitches and to add to the HORROR she was completely out of it! My cat couldn't even walk from being so drugged. So as a result, I watched her for hours constantly stopping her pulling at the stitches and worrying how drugged she was. Then at 6pm whilst I was getting dinner ready it happened!! I went to check on her and stitches are gone!! I quickly rang Cat Lovers to find they were closed and had no after hours contacts!!! So I resorted to going to the Animal Emergency Centre in Frankston, Great place providing top quality service. Not cheap though!!!!! In the end the Animal Emergency Centre had to check wether the stomach lining was still sealed and put staples in to close the suture wound. They gave me Antibiotics and an ecollar to prevent her from playing with wound. So in the end, it cost me: $120 to cat lovers for dodgy De-Sex Procedure $160 for after hours service at Animal Emergency Centre in Frankston ( which they were kind enough to drop charge) $ 92 for Fixing up my cat properly with consultation, staples, ecollar and antibiotics TOTAL= $372 !!!! Lucky for me it cost $212 all up. As a result I will NEVER EVER EVER trust those DIMWIT'S at Cat Lovers EVER again. Cat Lovers, you are a disgrace to yourselves and you shouldn't be in this business with your LACK of care and respect for animals!! BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS!!! Do your cat a BIG favour and find somewhere else to go to.

I feel so lucky to have Dr Jim and staff to provide veterinary care for my three cats. I've been going to Cat Lovers for six years and highly recommend this practice. The care is first-rate and the prices are very reasonable.
