I was really impressed with this place the first time I ever went, it was clean and professional. However, we recently got our 6 month old puppy spayed. Everything went fine, and we paid the $560 it was for the procedure. HOWEVER once we arrived home with the puppy we noticed she had smelly, dry clumps of poo all over her legs, tail and bum. It was dried solid and stuck to her fur, it had obviously been an accident that happened hours prior. We also checked the car and there was nothing. I was absolutely LIVID they would send her home in this state, she was stinking and I had to bathe her as she was very fragile, it took me ages to get the dry poo out of her long white coat. I just cant wrap my head round a veterinary hospital not cleaning a dog up after an operation...I obviously called to complain and although the lady apologised I did not like the way she spoke to me, denying that they would send her home covered in crap... when clearly that's exactly what they did. Her excuse was that they didn't realise, im pretty sure this is common for dogs and that the age would have smelt, she smelt and they should routinely check just in case. Imagine a doctor or nurse sending a patient home in that state, not being bothered enough to clean it up. I will NOT be returning, what a disgrace.

I've been to the Spearwood Veterinary Hospital with all my pets, ever since I was a kid. From desexing to major surgery when my cat had a shattered thigh bone, to my dog's knee reconstruction, you won't find better than Dr Miller and the staff here. Knowledgeable, polite and friendly, the staff are always willing to provide advice which has been in the best interests of my pets. The nurses have even allowed me "visiting time" with one pet when he needed to stay in for close to a week. I don't know of many vets who would give up a consultation room for close to an hour so you could cuddle your cat. No matter how far away I move, I will always book here if any of my pets need attention.

The worst vet clinic I have been to. My four month old Westie puppy was denied from their puppy school, and when I requested for his vaccination forms to be sent to Ranford Vet so he could attend the school there, they had lost all his prior documentation. Never have I been receive by the same vet each time I have attended, which now he is at seven months, has been a total of six times. Today was the icing on the cake of insolence. I took him to be groomed, and he came back completely shawn to the bone even though it is winter. The groomer had the audacity to say that if he came back long haired again I would be charge double. Tomorrow I will be retracting all proof of vaccinations and moving him to another veterinary clinic. My puppy was so traumatised by the experience that he did not even recognise who I was after six long hours of being at the groomers. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone with a dog.
