I am very fortunate to live about 3 minutes away from Apex Animal Clinic. My two cats (Sasha and Puffy) absolutely loathe car rides so this convenience eases the way. I have had my cats at this clinic for checkups, blood work, and even a few instances unforseen. I have had the chance to visit with both Doctors (mostly Dr. Dhogra) and have to say I appreciate their honesty and kindness each time. The doctors do not try and push product on you, or try to scare you in to buying things, but they DO educate you about your pets health and take time to answer your questions. There have been a few emergency times when they have had me come in during their lunch break in order to help my cat. The last time my cat had an extreme blockage in his bladder. I brought him in to Dr. Dhogra and he advised me to take the cat to the hospital IMMEDIATELY (they were closing soon at the clinic). I had no idea that my cat had been blocked for several hours. If it wasn't for Dr. Dhogra squeezing in my appointment, I am convinced my cat would have suffered a fatality. Infact, the doctor at the hospital also said that I was running out of minutes by the time I arrived.....a week later, my cat is doing well by the grace of God. Dr. Dhogra was so kind that even after examining my cat and trying to give me options, he refused to let me pay for the visit because he knew the hospital would charge me so much. I thought this was such a wonderful act of kindness. I credit him with saving my cats life. I also want to point out, that this clinics costs are extremely affordable compared to even "low priced" clinics around town. I had my cats teeth cleaned at this clinic for about $250-$300 whereas other clinics were charging between $800-1200 PER cat. Checkups are only $45 whereas other clinics START at $75 and go up....medication is also cheaper here along with the canned and dry food. At the end of the day, it's not about whose cheapest, but moreso about which Doctor will give you and your pet the care and time you need. When I had happened to pop in to the clinic last week to pick up some medicine for my cat, Dr. Dhogra made time to come out and check in with me to see how my kitty was doing. He didn't have to stop what he was doing but since he knew I was there, he made the effort. You can't PAY for this type of kindness.....I am honored to have my pets so close and under great care at Apex!
