These people love animals and are very very friendly - its completely clear (that's why 3 stars instead of 1). But I felt prices were on the high side and there was always a subtle push for the maximum of everything (i.e. tattoos AND microchip). It really seems like a business model rather than a healthcare model (although, again they are very caring people). Mixed messages! If your animal starts doing this, bring it in for this procedure right away. When the behaviour occurred and I wanted to bring it in, I was told it was too young? Don't give me options that aren't actually healthy for my pet. Finally, air of superiority... I felt quite condescended to on my visits. I've owned animals all my life and when raising concerns about an animal's behaviour to be effectively told 'well I show mine who's boss' or 'I wish you had started doing this (behaviour modification) at the start' and finally 'welcome to the world of (insert animal here)' - none of these are helpful! They wouldn't be helpful to a new owner and certainly weren't to someone who was encountering new behaviour in an animal they had never encountered before. Very caring loving people though. They definitely love and care about the animals they treat.

took my dog to get neutered here a few days ago. they did not peer pressure me to do all the extras such as blood work etc. they gave me the options but did not at all make me feel like a bad pet owner by not doing it. the price was reasonable. not the cheapest but the care was top notch and the scar from the laser was so minimal that my dog who is a tea cup was back to normal the same day. the scar incision was so small he did not mess around with it, therefore, he did not need to wear the cone of shame. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone who lives in calgary or airdrie. my dog is only 3lbs and they took great care of him! ps do not listen to those who say they are over priced. they are just a bit more than some of the competitors but you guaranteed great staff, clean, very professional and up to date with their technics. they followed up the same day and then followed up again the next day to ensure my dog was doing well. none of the other places did follow ups like this at all.

Absolutely incredible vet clinic. The staff that work there are friendly and know their stuff about dogs and cats. Will go the extra mile for you for anything you need. They actually tell you cost before doing things with your pet, and take time to answer all questions. Have been to a few clinics before, but I didn't realize a vet could be as good as this!

I have had a bad experience here after a tail docking two weeks ago. I decided to have the tail docking done here because I learned that they use a laser to do the docking which is less painful, reduces scaring and speeds healing. After docking I thought the tails were docked shorter then I asked and they were stitched too with fairly thick stitches for a puppies sensitive skin and told me to return in fourteen days I am now on day eight and have had to return twice now for re-stitching because Mom keeps pulling the stitches out during her natural duties of stimulating the puppies to relieve themselves which I am sure is caused because the tail was docked far to short right below the anus and I specified I wanted the tail docked a little below the anus so the anus is comfortably covered with the tail. Because the tail was docked this short it is too close to the puppies’ anus and then the stitches get pulled out when Mom is licking. The only positive thing about all this has been how friendly they have been with re-stitching and never charging further but then this is only right considering this could all have been avoided if they read and listened to what I wanted yes I said read because I also sent some instruction into the room with the puppies that explained what I wanted. Now I am on the third or fourth day since the last re-stitching and today after all my sleepless nights of watching it appears that the stitches have come out of one of the two puppies that were re-stitched I am so frustrated with all this and think I will just leave the tails be this time rather then put the puppies through that again I just cannot continue like this and I am sure the stitches will just get ripped out again I cannot help it but what really bothers me is that I see bone so I am not sure whether tissue will form over it without stitches. Be sure you are extremely clear with the length you want tails docked to if you ever find yourself with puppies that require the procedure as part of the breed standard. A proper docking length for a Boxer puppy is 3/4" which is the diameter of a Canadian nickel that can be used as a guide when docking.

I love this vet clinic and so does my dog. She is a rescue and was incredibly shy and freaked out. The staff at the clinic understand her needs and approach her gently and at her pace. She has improved with every visit there and they comment on it - it makes me so proud to see her grow! You can see the dedication and love that each staff member has for the pets they see. It must be hard to love every pet that comes through the door, but they do it! They remember things about Zoey and myself and ask us how we're doing...we're not just an appointment to them. They take the time to learn about my family and tailor a vaccine schedule and health plan to suit us. I wouldn't go anywhere else!
