My cats have seen Dr. Oprikov since they were kittens of about 4 months old. When I was researching vets in the area prior to bringing my cats home, West Springs Vet was the only animal hospital I called where they actually had the vet call me to answer any questions/concerns that I had (rather than a nurse/receptionist). As a new pet guardian who had no idea what to do or expect, Dr. O's time was much appreciated. He also guaranteed that he would have the best rates in the city (they were indeed the lowest of any clinic I called in the West Calgary area), and that they offered a multiple cat discount too. Dr. O and his team have always been gentle with my kitties. They are thorough, knowledgeable, and patient. When my kitties had to get spayed, I was confident that they would get the best care they needed, and they did. My cats acted like nothing happened when they got home, and had a speedy recovery (their nails were also neatly clipped and they were well fed when we were gone!) It is obvious that this team takes pride in what they do, and they genuinely love animals. The staff at the clinic are also always polite and courteous, whether in person or on the phone. Pam is lovely and is just as gentle with the cats as Dr. O is! I am so glad to have found this vet close to my neighbourhood. Even if I were to move, I would continue to bring my cats here for annual check ups and any issues that may come up.

I would HIGHLY recommend this Vet. The staff are so kind and helpful. The Vet himself is wonderful and SO concerned for the animals. He has been lovely and gentle with my cat. Going over everything to make sure I know whats going on. Giving me options and prices and spending a good amount of time. The facility is super clean and new. AND the best prices in this area hands down. 10 out of 10!!!!!
