wouldn't take my animals anywhere else! Calm, Courteous, Competent and genuinely concerned, these are the kind of people that should be animal care workers. They also aren't guilty of exorbitant overcharging like some.

Been going to this vet clinic for years. Was referred to them by my cousins who also took their pets to see Dr. Little John. Dr. Little John and his staff are always polite and professional

We've been bringing our dog to Dr. Little John for the last four years. He has always received prompt and thorough care and the vet always seems to try to understand our pets unique needs. Staff is friendly, and the location is handy though parking is limited to a few stalls. I've noticed other people mention that it can take over a week to get an appointment. It's been our experience that they can usually get us in over the next few days but pets needing emergency care should visit the Edmonton Veterinarians' Emergency Clinic. It's pricier but almost always available.

I took my cat to this hospital to see his diarrhea. Spent $450+ and it ended up the cat was recovered from the medication I used for myself. There is no diagnose from this hospital. What I received are option 1, option 2, option 3, option 4... They didn't recommend which option is the most effective. What they wanted is you try and pay all options and other unnecessary check. During the check the vet found there was a swelling on my cat's back. And he asked about $800 to get rid of it. I went to another clinic for a second opinion, at there the vet suggested leave it until my cat feels very uncomfortable with it. It became smaller and smaller and gone now. I will never go to Blue Cross once again.

Dr LittleJohn is a great vet and treats animals and their owners very well. I have no complaints with the way he handles any situation put in front of him. However, when my dog was attacked by two boxers on October 13th 2010 late at night I called the next morning to make an appointment for her to get stitches. The front end staff told me they had no room for my dog and that if I want to wait I could come the next Thursday! That's 8 days my dog would have had to wait for treatment! I found a little vet clinic just outside of Edmonton (St Albert) that took my dog in with open arms and treated us very well. My dog was fixed at a fraction of the price I would have been charged in Edmonton and I have now changed vets. I feel it is ridiculous to turn away a clients injured animal no matter how busy the clinic is! My dog did not require surgery only 15 minutes to suture her leg. I'm sure they could have made room. I recommend this vet for yearly check-ups and shots but if you have an emergency you will more than likely be turned away.
