Absolutely terrible. They were more interested in money than actually treating my cat. I took my cat in with what turned out to be a severe diabetic episode. The vet did not even look at him for hours. I was told that they would call about him right away, but waited 5 hours to be told he hasn't been looked at. After spending about $2k, only to take him home and look after him myself; the vet recommended a dosage of insulin that was way too high. Had I not looked up how to prevent extremely low blood sugar (honey to the gums), my cat would either be brain damaged or dead. The vet couldn't even remember the gender of the cat when talking to me. I really would recommend you take your pets anywhere but here. They didn't have any concern about the seriousness of the illness, as was evidenced by me having to prod and call often to find out the status of my pet.
I have nothing but GREAT things to say about this clinic!! Highly recommended to anyone no matter where you live. We have a 6 year old dalmation cross who had a SEVERE uterine infection, left untreated, it is life threatening condition. The wonderful staff took great care of her, fitting us in immediately. The girls up front were kind, caring and answered all questions we had. Dr. George Koshy is the most considerate and kind veterinarian, answering all questions, attending to our furbaby immediately. He treated her as though she was his own. She was put on an IV, started antibiotics less than an hour after arrival in preparation for her surgery the following day. What blew me away is the fact that most clinics do not let animal owners in the back to be with their babies but Clarevew Casselman does. Our dog was very afraid and was crying but Dr. Koshy and all the wonderful staff let my wife sit in the back, next to our girl. The fact they let my wife do this, made the vet a positive experience for our dog. Most clinics do not allow this, which is very sad. The next day, we brought our girl in for her hysterectomy. At her age and with the severity of her infection, there was a very real chance that she may not survive; however, Dr. Koshy was very reassuring and kind, letting us know that he was going to do everything in his power to look after her and restore her back to health. Early in the afternoon, the staff came out and let my wife know that the surgery was a success and she could again, come into the back and sit with our girl. Our baby came to and was comforted to see herself in the company of the kind Dr. Koshy, his amazing staff and her "mum", my wife. There was comforting music in the backround and she was given a pink fuzzy blanket to keep her warm and comfortable. I could never have imagined such a fantastic clinic, nevermind that one exists in our city. We have happily appointed Dr. Koshy as our permanent veterinarian for both our dalmation and our American Staffy. We will highly recommend him to all who are looking for a vet who actually cares about the animals. The staff he has at the clinic are absolutely second to none!! Highly knowledgeable, kind and friendly. No one wants to take their precious animal to a "cold" and "unfeeling" cash generator...Clareview Casselman Pet Clininc is ANYTHING but that. Please, if you want your furbabies looked after, loved and well taken care of, Dr Koshy and his staff are perfect. Thanks to them, our baby girl has a new lease on life!!! Simply cannot say enough good things about them. Highly, highly recommend!! Thank you Dr. Koshy and thank you Kyla, Laura, Jaqueline and all the other angels who work there. Thank you for looking after our angel.
I'm late with my thoughts on the," Best in the West Veterinarian Clinic" ! .....There are many of them here so finding the right one has been challenging! Most of the Clinics I've visited are extremely COLD," move 'em up and move 'em out",attitudes Like an assembly line....All money orientated ....Cold and unfeeling staff, not concerned about the emotional part of saying," Good bye," to a life long companion....MOST OF THESE WORKERS REALLY NEED TO GET SOME COMPASSION TRAINING,PRONTO! Compassion , kindness ,patiences, its all part of being a team of Professional in the Veterinarian field, however,as I have seen, most of them are in it for the money and leave many broken hearted owners feeling hurt and scarred by the experience.....First hand account here! ~~~~ However,Clareview Casselman Pet Clinic, has the MOST sympathetic ,Loving,Caring,Patient Staff ever found ! They go through step by step explaining in detail what to expect and are realist...No,pulling the wool over your eyes to make a quick buck....No,prolonging the inevitable,to soothe your aching heart....Truth is a better solace than spending hundreds and possibly thousands of dollars to prolong the life of a dear companion animal, who will die anyways for a selfish owner who cant bear the sad truth, that their beloved furchild is no longer able to fight to live for certain cases, As was my situation.........Part of being a responsable Pet owner is also realizing that our Furkidz will depart of this world and that they rely on us to set them free when the time comes....It is the Hardest part of being a Pet owner.....Having a sympathetic, open hearted compassionate care giver accompanying you and your beloved to Rainbow Bridge is a tremendous support ,when your baby is taking His or her last breath.... Laura you and Dr.Yoshi are my absolute favorite people in the world....My hats off to you for ALL that you do....I know that you suffer in silence ...it's the code of ethics... You have the most amazing ,compassionate ,caring crew EVER....Your kindness and little card and paw print and fur clipping of my Beloved Ivey after her passing ,were the most meaningful gift from my Girl ever... You helped me through this and eased my babies suffering with peace and dignity....Thank-you both from the bottom of my heart for what you've done for me and for what will continue to be a long prosperous relationship with my other furkidz....Love you Guys ! =^..^=
Horrible. Took out 14 week old puppy in a back room to do the exam behind closed doors. After hearing yelps and cries I yelled stop through the door and found out they were trying to muzzle her. I find it disgusting that anyone would try to muzzle a 14 week old puppy without the owner's permission and behind closed doors. The exam should have been done right in front of me and nothing should be performed without my consent. would not suggest to ANYONE.
Not a huge fan of the receptionists but the vets seem really caring most days. its really hit or miss.
