I've taken my pets here to be cared for several years now, and they've been very good to them. When I had to make a decision to euthanize one of mine, they were more supportive than I ever expected them to be. When I read some of the worst reviews, I understand how painful it can be for the authors to lose a loved one... but they seem to be incredibly extreme cases. If you're the type of guardian that treats your animal's health like it only needs a walk-in clinic, don't expect the health professionals to nail every disease or ailment on one visit. The staff have been great. I've talked to most of the front desk, technicians and doctors many times over the years. The diagnoses and care have been thorough and competent when they're the regular physicians for your pets.

If I could give 10 stars, I would!! Dr. Abbey and his staff have taken care of ME and my dogs for over 20 years- without fail- they provide exceptional care and attention to BOTH, me and my animals needs. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR EXISTING!

absolutely the worst group of people gather to care for your pets ive ever seen in one place. the front staff and manager was so dismissive, and rude.. when i tried to say anything at all they got so defense of their actions it is clear that there is an institutional problem here. they know they are bad at their jobs and are more apt to cover their own missteps rather than care at all for your pet. the vet took a cursory look and didn't care to hear "another complaint" about the front staff. and was then rushed out. was told to talk to their manager, who was very quick to anger and blame me for her and her staffs poor communication and service skills. although this place had a good reputation from past review... this is defiantly not the case. worst, staff, ever. better off taking your loved one anywhere but here.

my family lost one of the very best. my dog. during the procedure we were given the urn options, the paw print and requested no less than 5 time to the vet and twice to the staff assisting for a tuft of hair. we were promised all these thing were no problem. we did get the urn a week later. the paw prints are as yet to be "found", as the staff has said they have an order for only one but an other staff said there was 2 orderd. askd in person when picking up our lost loved one. was told the single paw print would be in about a month!, for a plaster molding that as a kid we did in grade 2. even took it home the same day.. so why the wiat?, cause it has to go to calgary... i guess calgary is alot farther from edmonton than i thought! so there no reason the tuft of hair should be something we have to wait for?, but when picking up the urn they could not find, was told they would call me when they talked to the vet. never happend. fully 2 weeks later agin and i call them to get a status update and they have no idea, so they will call me back again. but im not holding my breath. if you love your pet, do not go here. they loose paperwork, cant find my dogs hair (o ya, was also told that extra hair would be in a sympathy card they always send.. so they said i have that, at least... well no i do not!!!) i would even trust them to handle takeing a fast food order. lost all respect and trust in these people. after a multi decade relatioship they cant even handel their own paperwork to kno whats going on, they have to rely on their memory, in this day and age?... please please please heed my warning. they made this thing drag on for a month now, i dont even trust that the urn has any ashess in it at all, let alone my lost best friend in the world. so thanks for worse than nothin and please avoid at all costs, its just not worth it if they cant handel their own system. and these people wont even offer an apolagy. ----------------------------------- additionally, when i broke down in tears trrying to get this sorted i got yelled at by the recepcinioust manager. because i was emotiaonll at their failings she thought it approriate to put me down and simply not say anything about the fur tuft we asked for. dollars to donuts the urn they sold us is empty. poorly managed, poorly staffed. once a good place but now they have lost their way. a very heart broken warning to any and all. please find a place that will treat you like a person, and not a credit card. let alone their nonchalant and ignorant responce was to say i was the one in the wrong and to bad, then she hung up on me. do not let it happen to you and your loved ones. now im left with trying to recover any hair i can from vacuming the whole house, seperating one by one. w tears streaming down my face it sucks. but loosing my dog doent give me the right to be emotional and so they got their money and i got even more painfull memories to carry.

I went here because I was quoted a fair price for vacinations and it had really good reviews. However my experience was not great. I had to wait a very long time for the receptionists to find my file and I have to add the woman I dealt with was quite snooty " How much are my vacinations today? " I asked " Well. I don't know." She replied and did not even go check. I did not pay untill 20 minutes later! I had a younger female vet who did not really listen to what we had to say and barely checked our cat. We decided to give them one more try so we went for her vacins ( the first was a check up) and she gave us 3 vacinations that we had told her we did not want and a extra 100 to our bill! They don't listen to you and the staff are snooty. Also the waiting room is combined so the different animals get pretty freaked out. I will not be returning. Save you money and go to someone who actually listens to you.
