Horrible!! I brought my cat here as it was a Sunday when he got really sick he could hardly walk and was super lethargic so I rushed him to emergency where after 2 hours of waiting we finally got in to see a vet and they told me my cat just had a heart attack and was extremely rude about it. They said "he will die if you don't leave him here overnight with us and get him the most extensive treatment possible and if you don't you are an irresponsible owner." Well at that time we had been there for over 3 hours and my cat looked and felt way better and was acting like himself again and I said I will take him home and call our regular vet in the morning. After paying over $300 for nothing we went home. The next day we got in to see our regular vet and they ran a ton of tests for him and everything came out normal except for an irregular heartbeat and high stress situations can cause a heart attack but it's very common in older cats and nothing to be overly concerned about and to just keep him calm. To this day he is totally fine. The people at guardian only care about making money and do not care about the pets or their owners.

I had taken my dog in here who was suffering from pain and vomiting. The staff at Guardian were attentive and very polite. My dog needed surgery after it was given an MRI. After about a week in great care my dog was ready to bring home. He's the happy dog that he once was before I took him in and I can't thank the Vet and Tech Staff enough. Sure the bills were expensive but as a responsible pet owner I have pet insurance which offset about 80% of the cost of the MRI, Surgery and aftercare. The advice I have is get pet insurance, $80.00 a month may seem like a lot until you need it. We use Trupanion and would recommend them. Saving us about $3200.00 in costs for an $80.00 a month premium makes it worth it. For the people saying that they try to push treatments on your animal and testing, well,... they are doctors and want to cover all of their bases. It's not cheap. We have it good with health care in Canada, I can't imagine what it's like in the states without it. I recommend this place to all of my friends and I may as well recommend it to a bunch of strangers on the net.

These guys are amazing. I have been coming here for a while now and the staff, from reception to the techs to the doctors are SO compassionate and caring. I had to put my cat down and they were unbelievably kind and empathetic. I also have a trouble maker dog who seems to be a regular every few months - and they are thorough, detailed, and honest. They also treat your animal like their own. Any of my pet's emergencies will be handled here. Yes they are expensive as all hell, but being an emergency and specialized vet clinic, that is to be expected and you definitely get what you pay for. Would recommend to anyone!

We took our 7 yr old GSD to Guardian based on reviews from friends. It was an emergency as my pooch was not acting like himself and was declining quickly. The staff at Guardian were fantastic. Dr. Kenna Halford was outstanding. She tended to our dog as if he was her very own. Sadly we were required to put him to rest. Kenna guided us through to process. All the staff were courteous and professional guiding us a long the way. Important to note was that they kept us apprised of what to expect in term of how much the procedure would cost and there were no surprises financially. I would not hesitate to recommend Guardian Veterinary Centre - Especially in an Emergency. Thank you Kenna and staff.

i would not receommend this clinic at all! AVOID IT COMPLETELY!!! I took my cat there as she was not eating or drinking. After a check up that showed a mass in her lung i had wanted to ensure that she was in no pain. The vet spent all his time trying to boost the already ridiculous bill through more tests and possible surgery. He did not listen to me and as it turns out he misdiagnosed that she had a large mass on each kidney. Thanks to Guardian for the whopping bill and misdiagnosing that my cat was in real pain with kidney failure.. Not days later after the emergency appointment, my cat spent the morning crying in pain. We then took her to Calgary Pet Hospital (highly recommend) who found the kidney issue immediately and acted quickly to my wishes to not have my little girl in pain. Thanks Calgary Pet Hospital!
