I have recently started taking my dogs here. I do like the 3 doctors I have seen (Behiels, Bauer and Bear) Behiels and Bauer are a bit young but seem to be able to answer most questions and so far no complaints. Also, Dr. Horvath was wonderful with my friends parrot! However, out of the girls in the front, there is only one that is even the least bit helpful, I did not get her name. The other girls are rude, condescending and not helpful. The last time I was there I was absolutely DISGUSTED and APPALLED by Dr. Gordey. Riverbend Veterinary Clinic, from what I understand is one of the few avian veterinarians in the Edmonton Area. It was around 2:30 and someone had called with a bird emergency (from what I heard by listening to the girls) A tall dark haired girl was taking the call and asked Gordey if she could take this parrot. Her response was " No. If it comes in it would be (She put her thumb down and made a rude noise implying euthanasia) and I am not staying until 5 Oclock" I was nauseated by her response! I understand that a pet owners emergency is her everyday, but that was completely insensitive and because of it I would never trust her with one of my animals. The way she said it was as if this person wanting to save their pet was a waste of time and ignorant for even wanting to bring her bird in. The dark haired receptionist just laughed. I was NOT impressed at all! I was so offended by this that, when I left that day, I had no intention of going back! As I said though, the doctors I have seen have been great so far! I will continue to take my babies here, but I will always remember that as a red flag against this clinic, especially since she is one of the owners.

I am NOT impressed with their front end staff on the Saturday that my family had to come in. The doctor was great, but man someone needs to do get rid of the one receptionist. While waiting to have our dog's prescription filled I got nothing but a condescending tone and a roll of the eyes from a girl named Kaylen (perhaps she didn't know that I was looking at her when she did that). Disguisting. Perhaps hire staff that are more mature and reflect the company in a better manner. I will have to really think about if I want to deal with this vet clinic any longer.

Dr. Horvath, and the Riverbend Veterinary Clinic, is a great resource in Edmonton for reptile owners. With the knowledge to diagnose and treat your reptile's illness or condition, I have used them to treat two different reptiles, one particularly exotic, and both had excellent results. Others I have recommended them to have had 5-star experiences as well. Most vets can help furry animals but I am thrilled Riverbend Vet Clinic can be trusted to work on reptiles, birds and other less common pets. Open Saturdays and very accommodating regarding emergency appointments, I can definitely say they are an excellent choice.

Love love love Dr Bear. She's absolutely great in treating and handling our family's dog and has been for years. The only thing that I found somewhat uneasy was only one of the front end staff that I met (a young blonde doe eyed girl that I believe I recall her name as Kay-Lyn) was wearing a low cut shirt that I would strongly suggest was inappropriate and discussing personal things that could be overheard even though she was speaking quietly. That was a few months ago and as I hadn't seen her working there before I don't suspect that she would last long at such a reputable and respectable establishment. Regardless I wouldn't change vets as Dr Bear is amazing!!!!

I was in with my rabbit Lou over a month ago to have some skin irritations looked at. It was a bit of a confusing case but Dr Molnar worked her magic and Lou healed up beautifully. I was suppose to call in and follow up on the situation which i apologize for not doing, but the cream and other treatments i was given for Lou worked so perfectly i completely forgot to call in for further assistance since Dr Molnar solved the problem first try! His ears are perfectly healed, he's healthy and active and his room-mate ellie never developed any issues at all. I bring my dog Finley to this clinic as well and am always very comfortable and confident that my animals are being well cared for. Thanks always!
