I have been going to this clinic for years every since the very beginning. I see everyone on social media is quick to judge a book by its cover or before going to experience for themselves. I love this clinic. Each time my dogs have been to the clinic Dr.Bassi has been amazing. He even gets down on his hands and knees to give kisses and greet the girls. I see comments about the vet ripping people off and staff being unproffesional and it seems to me someone has a personal agenda with someone working there and just wants to create trouble for the clinic. I do know when Dr Bassi is away the fill in vets are not as great and everyone judges clinic based on them. But each time I have been in Dr.Bassi has always helped me financially you just have to let him know you need it and he is there to help. He is very professional. Each time I have been its been clean and the girls are really nice. I love that same girl who is always there Christy shes very friendly and has great memory. Dont let social media scare you. See for yourself. For those new clients they are price shopping and will say anything if they arent happy. Im satisfied and I am sure you will be too. I say give the clinic a chance and make this your home vet you wont regret it. I have been happy last 6 years. And lets face it if all the rumors on social media were true about him not caring about animals and being so awful the college wouldnt allow him to pratice. Dont judge book by its cover and dont rely on social media because you never know who is making the post. I was a manager at McDonalds and a girl got fired and she made nasty posts about our store and got her friends to aswell. So before you assume all negative posts are real ask your self could it be a previous worker or friend of previous worker who left and wants to create trouble. All I am saying is that each time we have been there we have been treated with the best service I have seen in my last 21 years of experience with my animals and I see people always coming in and out all the time and I see they are always busy and people do love them. So maybe the bad reviews is someone having a bad day. Dont give this clinic a hard time. Everyone has a story to tell. I love Dr Bassi and his team.

We have 3 cats and 1 dog and have had very pleasant experience at the clinic on 186 st The vet was super nice, staff polite and knowledgeable the vet took the time to explain everything in detail and the price was very reasonable.I recommend them to all my family and friends.

**186 St Animal Hospital Clayton Heights I am DISGUSTED** FEEL FREE TO SHARE Normally I am not the one to post my negative opinions on facebook, but this incident really grinded my gears. On August 14th I came home from work to my patio deck covered in blood/diarrhea. My Pomeranian/Chihuahua had gotten into my garbage the prior night and had eaten several chunks of chicken bones. The bones were now slicing his insides very badly and I knew I had to get him medical attention ASAP. I brought him to the "186 St Animal Hospital" in Clayton Heights just off of Fraser Highway in Surrey. They made me an appointment right away. I was sitting in the examination room with my dog in my arm not knowing if he was going to be ok or not. The Dr came in. He did not once acknowledge my dog, physically examine my dog, or tell me if my dog was going to be ok or not. He proceeded to tell me "We can do the $130 procedure OR the $200 procedure, the $130 procedure doesn’t usually work, but the $200 procedure does work". Now I have taken a vet assistant course before and I knew instantly that this man did not care about the well being of my dog. I knew my dog needed an x-ray and not once did he mention this. I knew I didn’t want not want this vet looking after my dog so I left. I immediately took my dog to another vet. They told me that yes he most definitely needed an x-ray. Long story short. My dog is ok now, they sent me home with some antibiotics and even called to check up on him twice. That to me is amazing. Just to put it out there, I gladly paid this vet, because I felt they took amazing care of my dog. So it’s been a week now since this happened, and just this morning I received a phone call from the 186 St Animal Hospital receptionist stating that I owed them money for the examination. The examination where my dog was not touched once and not even acknowledged, just being thought upon as how much money the Dr was going to make from my dog being sick. I told her about my experience at their clinic and all I got in response was a "that’s great". Completely ticked off I told her that they will not be receiving any of my money for an examination that was not even done. She then proceeded to tell me that she was going to have me arrested because she was going to hand my file over to the RCMP. Not going to lie... I laughed at her. She then made it very clear that I was no longer allowed to receive service from their vet. I laughed again, I would never even consider returning to this vet. I have had other people in my apartment building tell me about their horrible experience with this vet, I honestly don’t know why I even considered going there in the first place, but I was in a state of shock/worry, and I just wanted my dog to get the quickest attention. Over all, I WOULD NOT recommend this vet clinic to ANYONE, and I am disgusted with this nothing but money grabbing vet. Please share around if you want, I am not trying to accomplish anything out of this besides making people aware of this terrible money grabbing vet.

I received a recent post from a friend about the terrible service she received when she took her dog to this vet for an emergency situation. I was disgusted at the fact that the dog was ignored and the only "important" item on all minds in the office was the charges for treating the dog. This animal could have died without care and it was obvious from her story that the vet didn't care, the receptionist didn't care. I believe that this vet should have his license taken away and both him and the receptionist should be fined heavily and banned from being around animals. Animals deserve to be treated with love and care.

Doctor only cares bout money not the animal pretty much said he could help my dog but he may not make it for a low price or it would make it for a high price. He is disgusting after realizing i didnt want to deal with this vet before anything was done he still tried to charge me 130$. DO NO GOT THERE!
