They are tje best. Dr Anderson is the only place i take my hedgehogs to. When we go on long trips they take good care of them. We call it the Hedgehog hotel.
I take all my pets, big and small to Dr. Anderson and he has taken great care of all of them. I never feel rushed, he takes the time to explain everything. As for cost, you get what you pay for. If you choose a cheaper route, or you deny tests, ect. suggested by the doctor, you may regret it later when there is an illness you missed. I've always been given advice and quotes from Dr. Anderson and then given the choice what I want to follow through with. He is very calm and sweet with all the animals and I know they are in the best hands if ever something serious happens. I trust Dr. Anderson with my little family members and will continue to be a customer.
Doctor Anderson has been our family's Veterinarian of Choice since 1993. Over the years, he has taken care of our many pets (cats and hamsters). Our friends take their pets to Doctor Anderson too! His Friendliness, Professionalism and Knowledge, Convenient Location and Terrific Staff will keep me a dedicated client for many more years. He has always given us the 'straight goods' and his best advice. He is a very caring doctor and we trust his opinions one hundred percent. No doubt about it, he is the Best Veterinarian in town! Thank you Doctor Anderson!
PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE AND DON’T GO! I, like many people before, have had a terrible experience with Dr. Anderson. Being a financially struggling student, I had to save up to take my pet to the vet and buy him some medication (according to price ranges I had found online for the medication that he would no doubt be prescribed). My first issue was when Anderson asked if he could x-ray my pet to make sure it was a respiratory infection (which was already evident, especially since it is extremely common in the species). There is no need to risk a pet’s life with general anaesthesia in order to reaffirm our suspicions; listening to their lungs should be more than sufficient. The next issue was when it actually came to getting the medication from the front desk. The cost was through the roof! I didn’t have nearly enough to pay for it so I had to leave the clinic. After calling around I found a vet that would fill my prescription for much cheaper so I called Anderson’s clinic to ask if I could pick up the prescription. After waiting over an hour for them to call be back they said they couldn’t do that (it was some special concoction they mixed or something). Fifty dollars down for the exam fee and still a really sick pet. What kind of vet that actually cares about animals would mark up prices that high and try to up sell you on so much. Then on top of that refuse to give me the prescription so that I can actually get the medication for my pet. He’s not a vet, he’s a business man. He strives to make outlandish profits, not to help animals and their owners. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
IF YOU CARE YOU PET, DON'T GO !! I am very regret about sending my dog to the hospital today. One year ago, I send my dog to Dr. Anderson for regular check, he said the my dog has a broken teeth that need to be filled. It costs $1400 to fill that teeth + regular check. Today, I sent my dog there for the regular check and rabies injection, he said it costs around $500. I said ok. However, after I leave, the front desk called me, saying that the teeth (the same one that has been filled by Dr. Anderson one year ago needed to be pulled out). I don't want my dog to lose a teeth, so I said, "I am coming to check it and then I can make the decision, i will be there in 5 minutes" . Ironically, the front desk said, "oh, we can't wait that long, the dog has already had the anesthesia". Then I said," I don't want to pull his teeth. " I was quite busy this afternoon, after the call I went out to work. 10 minutes later, my husband called, said that he just called to ask them pull the teeth because the front desk said the root of the teeth is already rotten. I can't blame my husband for making that decision, but what I don't understand is, why they said they can't wait me for 5 minutes, however they actually pulled out the teeth after 10 minutes. Finally, I asked for the teeth, they gave it to me, the root is white, only a little hole on the top of the teeth and the hole has already been filled. Finally, I paid, $1548. Another story, two years ago, my dog has a bad constipation, I paid Dr Anderson $1600 for the treatment. After my dog came back home, the constipation was even worse. I had no choice but to take him to another animal hospital. The animal emergency hospital on 4th ave gave my an enema and then he recovered soon, and it only costs $300. Long story in short, even if you don't care about your money, please care about your dog. I will never go to Anderson Animal Hospital again, due to the inefficient medical treatment, very high cost, unnecessary check that costs a lot of money and brings pain to your pets. Please take the advice if you love your dog.
