I have been bringing my fur babies to Oaks Vet since they opened a few years ago. I have always had a GREAT service. I called around and found that their prices are very competitive. I ESPECIALLY love that they are open 24hrs a day. I had an incident happen on Christmas Day and they were happy to come to my rescue. It's a great feeling knowing that they are always there..just in case! :)

Great place if you want to spend at least DOUBLE then other vets charge!! If you want a spa like atmosphere fanf'ingtastic!! I spent close to $2500 on a stomach surgery for my dog... More then double the quotes I got from 3 separate vets!! THE BEST PART... I got my dog home and gave her the prescribed medication TRAMADOL. Her eyes SWELLED SHUT!! Pets are supposed to be tested in SMALL doses before being sent home with certain medications!! I called the clinic and the clueless receptionist said to "bring back the medication and we will give you a refund" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? My dogs eyes are swollen shut - DO YOU THINK I GAVE A SH** ABOUT A REFUND?? I was then told to give my dog 900mg of Benadryl - THAT IS 36 PILLS!! When all she needed was 4 pills!! SO not only was the receptionist as dumb as a coffee table she was also ignorant and condescending. Perhaps one of the dumbest people I have ever met PERIOD.. AND IT CONTINUES!! After giving my dog 4 Benadryl and NOT 36 I took her back to the vet in the morning I was told she had an allergic reaction to a spider bite not the Tramadol!! Again ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? -10c and 3 feet of snow!! Is there a new type of snow spider in Eastern Canada that I am unaware of???? Considering it wasn't long after I gave her the Tramadol they were just covering their asses... I wouldn't take my worst enemies pet back to this place!! They hose you with their prices and are absolutely clueless!! All I can say is LAWYER UP Oaks Vet. Good thing I taped the conversation because SNOW SPIDERS?? Really?? THIS PLACE IS A JOKE AND THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES!! CONTINUED... LIES, LIES AND MORE LIES!! By "Office Manager" do you mean owner?? Of course you are going to make an attempt to SAVE FACE:) My initial assessment was $1800 factored in at the the HIGHEST ESTIMATE hence why I was billed $900 before surgery even started!!!! After receiving my final bill it was close to $2500. So why would you not precharge me $1200+?? "Regarding the allergic reaction – Mr. Kerr’s dog had received the medication during her stay in hospital without any adverse reaction observed, and was therefore discharged with the same medication." **BULLSH!T you are talking about the penicillin NOT THE TRAMADOL!! "Mr. Kerr contacted our facility and reported a potential reaction to a medication. He was offered a no charge follow-up office call and physical exam immediately, but he declined and instead asked for the dose of Benadryl to administer at home." **AGAIN BULLSH!T I was told I could bring back the Tramadol for a refund!! Better ask the tech on night shift that gave the recommended dose of 900mg of Benadryl to get her story straight!! BTW 900mg equals 36 pills. 32 over the recommended dose:) "It was noted on examination that the patient had mild swelling on one side of its face and a small red pinpoint wound overlying the swelling. Possible causes of allergic reaction (including both the possibility of drug reaction or insect bite) were discussed and the owner declined 24 hour monitoring for anaphylaxis. For prudence, medication was substituted (at no additional cost)." **AGAIN BULLSH!T!!!! Mild swelling I will post pictures for everyone to see this "MILD SWELLING"... There was no 24 hour monitoring offered so I don't know wtf this "MANAGER" is talking about because he must have my fiance and I confused with other patients!! And btw OAKS VET I was charged for the substituted medication and have the receipt to prove it so stop playing Mother Theresa:) AS FAR AS YOUR STAFF BEING SURPRISED AT YOUR FACILITY OF MY REVIEW?? I AM NOT SURPRISED COMING FROM A CLINIC THAT'S TECH RECOMMENDED 900MG OF BENADRYL. THE IMAGINARY SNOW SPIDER BITE AND ALL OF THE OTHER NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!!!

My husband and I are very happy that we brought our then 4 year old to the oaks vet. We've never seen an animal hospital so clean and the staff was so patient and understanding of our cat's temper. They truly cared for our cat as much as we do.Unfortunately he had an extended visit again this year.Again thanks to the hard working staff we have our cat home safe and sound with assurance that he had all the medication care and attention he needed. Having been to other places where we felt our cat was just another appointment, the staff was really attentive and ready to answer the many, many questions we had.We were also impressed to actually speak to the doctor who is medicating & operating on our cat instead of a faceless name.We wouldn't go anywhere else no matter how more or how less it cost! Thanks again

Terrible vet. Only wants your money. After going there 3 times with my leopard gecko it still needed help. I ended up going to another reptile owner for help. I do not recommend! Don't waste your money!

DO NOT RECOMMEND DON'T BRING YOUR ANIMAL THERE. Call for appt. She took my name, address, name of dog, and then, she ask for my CREDIT CARD NUMBER to put on file. My dog had not even been seen yet, and you ask for my credit card? (Should have been first clue). Took my puppy in who had been attack by a big dog. He was bleeding from his back paw. They charged us over$400.00 to clean/debride his cut, put a bandage, and wrapped his leg. Doc told us that our puppy had a heart murmur and they should do a ECG. We said, no thank you. Had puppy at other vet 1 month before, and no heart murmur found on examination. They did one follow up appt. Doctor removed bandage and said everything is Ok, No sutures, or nothing. On our way home, paw started bleeding. We have been nursing his paw for 3 weeks now, changing his bandages and nursing it. Yesterday, one nail fell off. Wishing and praying that my poor little puppy to get better. Wish we would have $ to bring him to another vet,but we don't. : (
