Finding out our Mitsou would have to have a eye removed, due to a ulcer that busted, was very tramatic to hear. I was beyond myself with tears as she was going to go through surgery to have the eye removed. Dr. Arsenault stated that she had been in a lot of pain (which of course we would never have known) for some time and that she would feel much better once the surgery was completely... When we first went to retrieve her after she spent the night there, I was overwhelmed with sadness, how terrible she looked, due to the swelling. That was to be expected, which I wasn't ready for..Understandably so! That being said, the service we received from the hospital was first class professional. From the receptionist, assistance and Dr. Dr. Arsenault, they all made us (my husband and I) feel at ease and were very empethatic. We have decided to continue having Mitsou treated at the Hospital for future treatment. Thanks to all of you for caring, understanding and loving our Mitsou.. You Rock!
We have been dealing with this dedicated group since Oliver, the basset hound came into our lives back in 2008 and we have never had a bad or even slightly negative experience! Oliver goes in every three weeks for a nail trim and they are always excited to see him. We recently had a mysterious allergic reaction and the team led by Dr. Moskovits were dilligent in their endeavours to track down the cause and treat the symptoms. We particularly like the broad range of specialties offered by the various vets. Dr. Arsenault our yearly go to guy for his annual check-up keeps a close eye on Oliver's joints given his breed. Great people all around
Well, it has been a very stressful time at my house over the last few months. Our best friend and most prized possession, Monty, is having his health issues all at once after years of incredible good health. Over the summer troubles with swelling on his nose which culminated with surgery to remove one of Monty's top canine teeth which was deteriorating from the sinus down. Big thank you to Dr. Tara MacLeod and all the great staff for getting us through that procedure. Just recuperating from that surgery when he experienced a cranial cruciate ligament rupture in one of his back legs. TPLO surgery scheduled for Tuesday, 30th September but on Sunday night before that date in his good back leg the cranial cruciate ligament ruptured. We were devastated to say the least and expected the worst outcome but thanks to the Riverview Animal Hopital in Riverview, New Brunswick, and the expertise of Dr. Francis Arsenault and all the rest of the exceptional staff we have hope for Monty. He had a TPLO procedure on one back leg performed by Dr. Arsenault and is now back at home recuperating and is doing extremely well. So well that he will have the second surgery on Tuesday, 21st October, on the three week anniversary of his first TPLO procedure. We are looking forward to an excellent outcome for Monty. We can not say enough about the Riverview Animal Hospital and the compassion and kindness shown us and Monty during this extremely stressful time. The expertise of the staff has allowed Monty a chance for an active future. Monty, Peter & Brenda
I'm saddened to announce that the #efforts (None that I'm aware of) of the #riverviewanimalhospital were not enough to save this little #kittycat that had given up along the roadside last night. I am very disappointed in an organization holding itself out as an animal hospital. I reluctantly left the #malnourished #cat (possible infection & in need of neutering but too #weak ) to be cared for. Even though i was referred by the SPCA, it was clear that the biggest concern was who would pay & am convinced that had I taken ownership there would have been numerous options for care at my disposal. I left my phone number for follow up specifically asking that I receive a call to advise of the animal's prognosis indicating that I would not see the cat #euthanized I followed up three times by phone being advised that the #feline was resting comfortably but when I went in to check on the cat at 4:30 today I was told that the #animal was in isolation when I believe it had already been #putdown. What kind of system are we running here in #Moncton / #Riverview #NB #Canada
I worked at a vet clinic in NS for a couple of years and have heard good things about Riverview Animal Hospital through working there. When I moved to the area, my German Shorthaired Pointer needed an appointment right away, so I thought I would check them out. They got me right in! Both vets were very friendly and interacted well with my dog. Would definitely recommend, and will probably end up going back in the future!
