The staff at the east village were very friendly, I had nowhere else to turn and a friend of mine told me about "EVAH" So I took my cat and was very happy with how everything turned out. The hospital manager Laurie Ristmae was quick to make sure everything was running smoothly with my cat Tigger when I asked her how he was doing.
I have had an utmost, amazing experience from the staff at EVAH. Always helpful, my questions are always answered and I leave feeling like a better advocate to my pets and animals in general. As a community volunteer with people in need, I have experienced EVAH's care and compassion to those less fortunate. It is their ultimate goal to ensure pets and animals are safe and cared for regardless. I have incredible respect for EVAH and the staff. They go above and beyond. Laurie is so helpful, kind, and has the animal's best interest at heart. Thanks for all that you do!!
Rebecca I'm with you on this. I had no where to turn to and I had no idea how I was going to get four dogs cared for, I emailed A.R.F. to ask if they knew where I could get some help to get my guys fixed up. No more than a week later Laurie, Clinic Manager (I think that's her title, if not Laurie I apologize), emailed me so we could discuss options. Less than a month later, and at a price I could afford, my four guys are now taken care of. The volunteer drivers Jodi and Kristina were SUPER AMAZING!! My guys came back happy as could be. The whole thing was very stressful for me, leaving my guys overnight but the staff and volunteers of EVAH were so professional and crazy calm with my guys. I just cannot say enough great things about EVAH. Knowledgeable, caring and absolutely PROFESSIONAL!!!!! Thx Again
By far the best clinic! Not only are they extremely affordable, they actually care about you pets! They saved my Cats life today.
BEWARE of this place! Great idea for a clinic, but they need some serious work! After my unfortunately horrible experience with them, I left a review on their Facebook page about what happened, but I guess they didn't like the idea that someone had something negative to say, so they disabled the reviews feature making it so my comment could no longer be seen. They also blocked me from commenting on their page altogether. A sincere apology for the way they treated me would have been the mature & professional way to handle things, but they chose not to. For the record: it’s almost impossible to book an important appointment within a reasonable time frame. I called in, and the closest spot they had was 3 weeks away – not helpful! Anyway, here’s what happened. They have a $10 transportation service where they will pick up your pet, take it to their clinic to do what needs to be done, and then bring it back to you. I took them up on this service because I do not have a car, and my very sick kitty cat needed more IV fluids. On May 23 (around 12pm), hospital manager, Dr. Laurie Ristmae, called me to say she was outside my apartment to pick up my kitty cat. She said either herself or Cynthia would be by around 5:30pm to drop my cat back off. At 6:00, my mom calls me in a panic (I wasn't home) because they still hadn't come by to drop off my cat yet. I tried calling the clinic, but there was no answer. Here we thought there had been some horrible miss-communication & that my cat was going to be staying there overnight when she didn't even have her meds. We were freaking out! I eventually got the idea to do *69 & get the number that Laurie had called from earlier, and to try calling that. She did not pick up, and voice mail box was full. So I texted her instead asking where my cat was. She thankfully replied back saying they’re a very busy clinic, and traffic was bad, but that Cynthia should be there soon. I told her a phone call to let us know the driver was running late in the first place would have been appreciated, and she told me to arrange my own transportation next time. Rude much? When Cynthia finally did show up (sometime well after 6:30), she said she had tried to call to let us know she was on her way, but they gave her the wrong phone number! Needless to say, I did not appreciate the way Dr. Laurie spoke to me when I did nothing wrong. I called the clinic that night when I got home & told them I didn't appreciate the way things were handled. A few days later in the mail, I get a letter from them saying they’re no longer going to be providing services to my pets. They screwed up, but they’re ditching me? Real professional. Also, we’re pretty sure they had just left my cat in her carrier or something the entire 6+ hours she was in their care, because the fur on her backside was stained yellow from where she had peed herself (she’s white, so it’s easy to see), and she smelt horrible! I have since found out at least a couple other people have had bad experiences with them as well. One of my old friends had actually taken her 3 barn cats in to be fixed, and since they get tattoos anyway to show they've been fixed, she told them not to clip their ears (if the cats are found, clipped ears are the international symbol that they have been fixed), but they clipped them anyway! She was so upset! I would also love to know how exactly they’re more affordable than regular vet clinics. I was charged $20+tax for an IV fluids bag that was DONATED to them by a hospital, but there’s a Rexall Specialty store that only charges $4.50 (no tax) for the same thing. Someone on their Facebook page had commented they charge the same amount for dental checkups as what their regular vet does. How is this helpful towards people on low incomes? In conclusion, before you take your pets there - do your research & make sure they are giving you an actual deal on their services, and if they are, decide if it's worth possibly being spoken to rudely should they mess up.
