While not unique to this particular Vet. clinic in London, be very wary of Vets. that push extra services without fully explaining the reasons why. Use your own judgement and be prepared to say no. Dr. Hopper's primary concern is pushing extra unnecessary services. Business first, appropriate care for the animal comes second. She'll claim otherwise but it's just a front.

Dr. Hopper and her staff need to be commended with their help for my dog over the Christmas holiday. He seemed very ill and they got me in for an appointment immediately. Through Dr. Hopper's expert medical recommendations, our dog Tigger improved within a couple of days and was able to return home for Christmas. Costs were reasonable, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and have kept in touch with us for updates ever since. I would recommend this clinic and their sister clinic London North Animal Hospital to anyone who needs their pets seen for any reason.

I have a very anxious dog that absolutely loves all of the staff at King. They have been absolutely fantastic since I got him and I wouldn't take him anywhere else. I think I have now met all of the vets at the clinic and every one of them have been excellent with my dog. I've never waited more than 10 minutes, even for an emergency walk-in. Over all, this clinic has the best veterinary practice I've found. I also want to give a particular 1000 stars to Dr. Hopper. When my dog was extremely ill, she talked about several options and treatments. Following his surgery, she called to check in on him and was fantastic about managing his treatments. I recommend her to everyone I know. Thank you King Animal Clinic, you’re the best!!

Very competent vets and staff. We've been with them for over 7 years now and they've always been kind and gentle with our cockatiels and bunnies. The prices are reasonable and they always return calls and follow up to make sure everything is going well with treatments. If we have an emergency, Dr Hopper always finds time to see us. As the owner of King Animal Clinic I feel it necessary to respond to the negative reviews posted about myself and the clinic. Our goal has always been to provide the best veterinary medical care possible for our cats and dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, etc. I have been a veterinarian for the last 13 yrs and feel very grateful to be able to work with animals every day, it has been a dream come true for me. I have been fortunate to have amazing staff, some that have been with me for over 10 years. We have excellent Doctors (Dr. Jane, Dr. Daniele, and Dr. Yvonne) all who love animals a great deal and have great medical knowledge. All of the Doctors spend a lot of time calling back our clients to ensure that they are doing well, so I am unsure where comments that we never return phone calls would come from. We have wonderful clients who love and appreciate us and make our jobs so much easier. However, there are always those who will find fault and I feel it is very important to have a good trusting relationship between the veterinarian and the owner. If this relationship does not exist, it is much better for those clients to transfer to another clinic. When there are personal attacks posted about me on this review site, it is difficult to defend since none of these people know me personally. I certainly do not "train" the staff to not answer questions on the phone, we train the staff to be able to tell when an animal should come in for an exam with the Doctor and when they may not need to. Usually the client feels better after the Doctor has examined their beloved pet. We do charge appropriate fees, our fees are very fair I believe - there are other clinics that are more expensive and other clinics that are cheaper. Different people base their decision on which clinic to take their animals to for different reasons - for some people money is a large component of this decision, for others location or word of mouth is more important. I believe we are a very ethical clinic, we do not perform euthanasia "on demand", the animal needs to be quite ill before we would euthanize them. We do not perform cat declaws which some consider to be inhumane - it is illegal in the U.K. and California to do cat declaws. We take in many strays and homeless animals - we currently have 6 cats in the clinic looking for new adoptive homes. In fact, the last client to post a negative review about us had actually adopted both of his cats from our clinic. I am very proud of our clinic and the work we do there and I wish that clients who are unhappy with any aspect of our service would attempt to talk to me first so that we could come to a reasonable solution - whether that be them transferring to another clinic, attempting a different course of treatment, or discussing money issues. We are a busy clinic and we do make every attempt to keep waiting times to a minimum but occasionally there will be an emergency that cannot wait and needs to be dealt with right away. As well, if your animal is sick we ensure that they are always seen as soon as possible, most times that same day. As the owner of 2 adored dogs and much loved cats, my personal philosophy is that every one of my patients should be treated the same way that I would treat my own animals.
