It has been almost four years since I took my collie/lab mix in on a Sunday during what I thought was an emergency. I made the major mistake of not going to a trusted 24/7 Vet at this time. In all fairness to the Vet, she ended up getting diagnosed with Addisons disease which is quite rare... But the treatment she received while getting checked out was borderline torture to my little Molly and still bothers me today. Instead of asking me to collect a urine sample, he forced a catheter in her, as I heard "some poor sick dog" yelping, moaning and crying for five minutes or so. Turns out it was my sick, brave little Molly crying in pain, and I am sure losing all of her trust in me, to let this happen to her. After confirmation from the receptionist that it was my Molly in the back making the noise I wasn't sure how to react, and the second I saw her come through the door I grabbed her and we went home. We got the results...A couple of days later!!! in the mean time, (the next morning) I took her to a professional Vet and they had her on the right medication less than 15 minutes after getting her listless body through the doors. Sorry, I guess I am starting to ramble on here... Molly is a strong 11 years old now, living life like a puppy again with her new Swiss Mountain Dog buddy Bumper. The one lesson I learned is to not trust any old Vet. Always stick with your gut when you feel something isn't right. I am no longer living anywhere close to Milton but I do know there are many OTHER Vets to choose from in the Milton area. My experience with this Animal Hospital would be to try my best at home with google before ever trusting this vet again. That says a lot...Sadly... I am happy now with out new vet and wish everyone and their pet the longest, happiest life possible!

Our 2 year old Vizla has been cared for by Dr. Lotay since he was a 10 week old puppy. Dr Lotay and his team at the clinic have always been very accomodating and reassurring the in the emergency situations we have been in. Dr. Lotay has a very calm demeanor making our, and more importantly our dog's experience, a positive one.

Our cat Tigress, 17 years old had a surgery on lumps removal at Derry Heights Animal Hospital. We are very happy with services provided by this clinic: friendly, supportive and caring staff. Special thanks to Dr. Lotey for professional, straight to the point and not pushy for pricey procedures consultation as well as successfully performed surgery. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone who loves their pet!

After we moved to Milton, we brought our cat to this clinic for a general check-up and to transfer her documents. 3 weeks later we received a notification from Derry Heights that our cat was due for her rabies vaccination and 'other general vaccinations', and that we also had to get a mandatory 'general check-up' too as this was a package deal. When asked why we could not just get the vaccinations and not the check-up, or why this was not brought up at her recent check-up, they had no answer. And continued to insist we must pay for another check-up alongside the vaccinations. Also, they only offer a 1-year rabies vaccination, instead of 3 years at many other animal hospitals. Would not recommend!
