I've been coming here for 16 years, with two dogs. The vets are fair, pleasant, kind and thorough. I am always given a choice for services (what is absolutely necessary vs. what is suggested, but not necessary). They provide discounts for senior animals. When our 14 year old dog needed to be put down, they were fantastic. We were sobbing messes. The vet came to our truck, and injected our dog with the dog in our lap. (We took the dog home to bury on our farm). When I tried to come indoors to pay, they told me not to worry about it, they would connect with me in a week. The level of compassion, sensitivity and kindness is why we have stayed here for so long. Both Lorna and Diane are extraordinary vets.

We purchased our puppy from a guy off kijiji. We were first time dog owners who did not have anywhere to turn to ask all the basic puppy questions. Our first night we had a scare. We called around the next morning and Hillside told someone would see us that day. Arriving there we never expected to find Chuck’s (our puppy) doctor for life! Everyone there is so friendly, they took the time to answer all our silly, panicked new parent questions. We feel so comfortable brining our little Chuck in to see anyone there. They all treat him as if he is their own dog, which is very comforting when looking for answer about a member of the family that cannot speak. I trust Hillside to make what is important for Chuck #1 on their agenda, and I feel that they are very fair with their charges. If you are looking for a vet that you can feel comfortable with and know your pet is in great hands this would be the only place I would suggest. We went to Hillside when we had our cat, and he had MANY issues. Our Vet there, was amazing, discussing the reality of our situation and what was best for him. She was honest, and patient. Then when we got our puppy, I again was delighted with the service we had for him. Our dog loves the vet. He wouldn't even leave without force until the vet came out to say bye to him! We are priced fairly, and she does what she can to best of her abilities to help your pet! We think the world of Hillside Animal Clinic!
