This is one of the best experiences I have ever had with a veterinary clinic. Dr. Beck is always thorough, caring, takes his time and truly proceeds with the best course of action for your pet. I go there with confidence knowing my pet will receive the best of care. My dogs also love Dr. Becks calm demeanor and friendly office staff. I would highly recommend!

We have used Dr. Scott Hobson and the Abbey Animal Hospital for 23 years. These people are the most compassionate, caring, considerate, and helpful people I have ever met, bar none. If only our human physicians and staff were as dedicated and devoted. Never once in all these years have we been given any information other than what was best for our cats and for ourselves. Sadly, with the loss of our most recent beautiful Himalayan, who was likely kept alive for four years longer than his life expectancy due to their diligent care, we will not have the opportunity and privilege of dealing with these wonderful people again. We have been going to Abbey Animal Hosp with our 5 pets over the last 7 years and were very happy with their service. We adopted a abused rescue dog from Olean New York the beginning of June. She had fleas and mites, decaying teeth and was kept pregnant for most of her 4 years. We had her checked by a vet in Olean before bringing her over the border and she was given her rabies shot. We knew we had to have her spayed and her teeth cleaned and probably some pulled when we got back to Canada. We called to make an appointment for the surgery and were told we had to once again have a consultation before booking surgery. (additional $68.00). We spoke with the vet and were told we had to have 2 separate general anesthetics as the bacteria from her teeth may infect her spayed incision. We were told each operation would be $500.00 and additional fee for removal of teeth. We were charged $913.00 for the teeth extraction and were floored as we had the same operation done on our other dog 1 year before for $600.00 with twice the number of teeth. When we asked for clarification we were told we were never told it would be $500,00 but up to $1,000. Totally false~~~ When we told them we were never contacted and that there was misrepresentation by several of their staff, we were told that we were incorrect. (ie. lying) These people are in a service industry and the office manager who called us to discuss the problems had no people skills, and was not the least bit interested in our explanation. I would never recommend this Animal Hosp. as they are obviously only interested in the bottom line--their profit. Very disappointed and feeling betrayed after years of loyalty to this Animal Hospital. Jerry and Maureen Stevens

I've been dealing with Abbey Animal Hospital for several years now. I have a special needs cat and whenever he is having health issues, they are always more than willing to accommodate us, usually fitting us in within a couple of hours. While vet bills can be expensive, they have never ran tests on my cat that were not necessary. I trust them completely and would recommend them to anyone.
