I am giving zero stars if possible. This place is ALL ABOUT THE MONEY !!! They actually had the neurosurgeon call me and try and put me on a guilt trip to have the MRI done - when it was clear I wasn't getting it done - she wanted nothing more to do with us. They don't care if your animal lives or dies - they just... want... your money... Go there and write a blank cheque or go somewhere that doesn't have them threaten to not help your pet unless you pay upfront for services that are sometimes never necessary. This is a place where animals go to die - I lost a cat there 2 years ago and spent loads of coin on MRI's, Spinal Taps... you name it... he then died - "oopsy daisy" - no answers... just a hypothesis... this is what I paid 3k for ??? A hypothesis ??? Flash forward to present day - I bring another cat in there who had a seizure and they won't do blood work or even so much as feed the cat until they have 75% in their grubby little hands. I will drive however far necessary as to not let these uncaring sorry excuses of money hungry veterinarians work on my pet - I after all, want my pet to be first - not having doctors who likely get a percentage on the uneccessary testing they sell to you calling me with no update on my pet until we pay... you have my animal people... unless you're worried that I won't pay because the animal dies in your care, which raises the question... is there something you're not telling me or are you just not a real vet... you a used car salesman ? Why the upsell... save my cat... don't tell me what it isn't - tell me what it is... you are this inexperienced that you've never saw a similar case ? You can't guide me like a human being would ? End result - this place is a boiler room - your pet is a commodity... drive by the place with your dog, cat or peekachoo - keep driving until you find somewhere that cares. Damn - apparently I have to give them one star to post this... a post they will likely pay to have taken off with YOUR money... Oh and how obvious are you those who go on about how how fantastic this place is - you work there much ? It's not the amount of money, you're missing the point - it's the priorities or lack thereof which concern me... I'd pay twice as much as they charge if they actually gave a crap about my pet... there... done.

This clinic is a mixed bag for me. I brought my cat in who was suffering from shortness of breath. He was taken in right away and given oxygen to bring up his O2 saturation. He was given an NSAID to help him with his breathing. Prior to discharge he also had his blood drawn to have it screened. The educated guess the veterinarian gave was that he suspected our cat might have pancreatitis but that suspicion would need to be confirmed with an ultrasound. We learned the following day from his bloodwork that he tested FIV+ which he contracted prior to being welcomed into our home. I can see why another person felt the clinic had an uppity atmosphere but that doesn't have a positive nor negative impact on me as I'm not concerned with something so minor. Perhaps, the other poster confused professionalim with an uppity vibe. I found the staff friendly and personable including the veterinarian himself. The clinic is pricey ($175.00 examination fee alone) but it is what it is. The only thing that concerned me is the fact the veterinarian missed the large abcess on the right side of my cat's neck due to a sewing needle that was found in his neck. In all fairness, I didn't discover it myself until I gave our cat a bath (he doesn't mind showers/baths/hairdryers) which is when I discovered the huge lump. I stopped the medications I was given to relieve his pancreatitis. I took him to a veterinarian around the corner from my home which happens to be open 24/7 to have his abcess surgically drained. I wish I knew of this 24/7 veterinarian prior to taking my cat to this location only due to logistics and cost. Thank goodness I didn't get a $400.00+ ultrasound done on my cat, the only good news is that my obese cat lost four pounds from having no appetite lol. Who knew I'd end up diagnosing my own cat with an abcess. Perhaps, he has pancreatitis as well, who knows. If he does, at least the meds I paid for treated it. Overall I'm satisfied because at the end of the day my sweet adorable boy is alive. I just wished they caught the abcess but who knows if the abcess was significantly smaller at the time this clinic assessed him. I'm planning on letting their veterinarian know what he missed as to reduce the chance of history repeating itself.

I'll start by saying that i never write reviews for any business but found it necessary to write one in this case. My dog was in visible pain so decided to take him in here. At first we thought the problem might be neurological but after meeting with the neurologist (Dr. Finnen) and doing an ultrasound it was discovered he had pancreatitis and had to be hospitalized for 7 days. He was then transferred over to critical care and taken care of by the Vet techs for 24 hour monitoring. Every Vet tech i encountered was extremely nice and i really felt that they treated my dog as if it were their own. I would call at 3am for updates on how my dog was doing and whoever was working the night shift was definitely on the ball. Dr. Chandler (critical care specialist) worked tirelessly answering every single question and concern that i had even though she was busy at times, MOVEH is very lucky to have her services. Dr. Kyes is very confident and experienced as well and understood how hard it was for me to leave my dog there for 7 days. After speaking with both doctors regularly i knew my dog was in good hands at all times without any doubt. I actually thought the price was very fair. I mean my bill wasn't cheap by any means but it was within the estimate that was drawn up for me. I think people often forget how much vet costs are since our medical care is covered by OHIP for the most part. These veterinarians and staff all really care about animals- id say all of them have dogs/cats that nobody else would take in- 3 legged dogs, diabetic dogs, ugly dogs etc...im shocked that anybody would even give a bad review. I find it funny that people are going to vilify this place because of their prices... Everyone here is very good at their job and deserves every penny that they make because they provide a valuable service. During my dog's discharge a doctor from another department was kind enough to check his reflexes and put notes in his file and i wasnt charged for this/nor did i ask. If you have a sick pet i absolutely recommend u bring them here.

There is a thing called pet insurance out there people! If you can't or won't provide for your own pet in the first place you have no right having a pet. Running an 11 specialist department/24 hour Veterinay service is, I'm sure, a rather challinging endever for anyone..obviously something non of you have any clue of. I would suggest to anyone that wishes to obtain a pet that it is your responsability to investigate the cost of owning pets before you get one. It is unbeleivably ignorant not to mention Irresponsable for someone to obtain a pet when they can't afford the financial responsibilities that come along with it and then blame money issues on the hospital because they can't afford to pay. It is only typical for people to divert blame from themselves onto someone or something else. Very classy of you!

I've been going there for the past 10 years with my dog for emergencies. Now, I've had good and bad, but more of the latter but in terms of some of the attitudes that prevail there and what seems to be a type of uppity mentality. Don't get me wrong, they know what they're doing and are relatively good at it. (although reading some of the other reviews has me shocked to be honest.... forgetting tools in an animal after surgery?? WOW!) Enough digressing. They ARE NOT CHEAP. This place is VERY, VERY expensive. They're invoicing system is (I suspect) INTENTIONALLY CONFUSING. Kind of like your bills from Bell, Rogers, etc. Now, they are all very capable people, they strike me as such. But because of how busy they are, you don't get the feeling that they're vested too much into your pet. I feel like a "thank you, come again" type vibe at times. But when you're stuck with nowhere else to go, this is where they cash in LARGE, "EMERGENCY" fees, the good ol' "EMERGENCY" label. After you're pet is done, lately I've found that I would be dealing with the assistants and not the actual vet. If I'm paying that kind of money, I want to talk to the vet who was working on my pet Not some assistant. A few of the vets have begun to strike me as "know it alls" and the word uppity comes to mind again. They seem to have this mentality like they're great, they know it and that's that. Regardless, JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE room on you credit cards or money in the bank for your debit cards if you do decide to pay them a visit. THEY ARE NOT CHEAP.
