Recently changed vets as I had moved. Took my cat Leo in as I was afraid he was gaining weight. I was right. They were very helpful. There was a bit of a wait to see the vet because a routine visit with another pet turned out to be very involved. The technician kept me informed. They discussed what would be best to help Leo lose the weight, answered all my questions, and examined Leo thoroughly. They followed up with a phone call to see how he was doing. I was impressed with their treatment.

Our beagle received excellent care and service at Alta Vista. She had serious heart disease and at each point in what turned out to be four months of treatments we felt very well informed as clients and had no doubts about the professional and compassionate service she was getting. Alta Vista is a bit pricier than other clinics, but we felt that it was worth every penny... and the end was as peaceful as we could have wished.

Our young dog required an emergency eye operation over the christmas holiday period. Thankfully Dr Tinsley was able to fit us in and did an excellent job. When we picked him up after the surgery I was amazed that his eye was fully open, you would never have thought he'd just had surgery. All the staff were very friendly and competent. We recommend this emergency hospital to other pet owners that we talk to, and would definitely come here when we need specialist services.

Great veterinarian facility with highly trained, competent personnel. As much as I appreciated the excellent care provided, for me the cost was approximately 50 percent higher than what I am accustomed to paying. I am also aware that some surgical procedures are approximately double the the cost that they would be elsewhere. This is likely a function of both the higher standard as well as the sophistication of AVAH's facilities.

I have been a longtime client of Alta Vista Animal Hospital and have always been more than satisfied with the care my numerous animals have received. Dr. Rogers is amazing and is always willing to answer questions and provide guidance on how best to proceed even in painful and difficult situations. I recently found a small kitten with severe frostbite and Dr. Bamberger was amazing when we arrived as an emergency and the care and love from staff the little one received in hospital was terrific. She is not out of the woods but home and will continue to follow up with Dr Rogers in hopes we can save her long term. A wonderful veterinary facility always there when you need it. cheryl Keaney
