I have been a client of Peterborough Pet Hospital for 16 years and find them the best and most reasonable in the area. My dog had 3 surgeries over his14 year life and Dr. Muise is the best surgeon around. An example of this is my friend from Toronto has a 13 year old Yorkie who had a very expensive surgery to enable her to walk on all 4 legs. This surgery did not work, so I brought her to Dr. Muise. He basically had to undo everything that had been done in Toronto and she is now walking like she had nothing wrong and he was not as expensive as the surgery that didn't work. I can't say enough good things about this veterinary hospital. The staff are all great.
Our chocolate lab Cole is 8 and he has gone there since he was a pup. We appreciate how well they take care of him. Their service is excellent and appreciated. If you love your pet and want a good vet, this is the place to go! Eggleton's
they've taken great care of our two cats, and actually have waived a variety of fees for us, knowing we're in a tough spot financially. We have seen both Dr Smiths as well as Dr McDermid and they have always been thorough and patient with us. They always answer all our questions without ever being condescending. They have never charged us for anything without discussing it with us first. I highly recommend this clinic. There are closer clinics that we could go to, but we take the extra time to go here, knowing how well our pets are treated.
wow I have dealt with this hospital and never had any problems - in fact they were the nicest place to go - I called around to the other places and they were alot more money for the same thing. Sounds kinda hinky to me
I called in advance to get a quote on fixing a female cat. I was given a quote of around 100 dollars, it ended up costing me almost 400 ( because of the shots they gave her which she didn't need and I specifically requested not to have) and by the time I knew what they were doing and wanted my cat back they had given her the 300 worth of shots, but hadn't done the original requested procedure of spaying her for only 100. When I pleaded with them saying I'm a student, I got a quote and I can't afford this they told me they had never given me the 100 quote. But when I called moments later and asked how much it would cost to spay a 7 month old female cat they again gave me the approximate 100 quote. When I confronted the woman she basically told me she scammed me and gave her shots she doesn't need because she's an indoor cat, but the cat had all the shots and I have to pay for them but if I want I can save myself 100 and not get her fixed.
