Two years ago it cost me over 800 dollars to have 6 teeth removed from my dog. Another visit for a sore neck due to arthritis cost me 179 dollars which included a muscle relaxant for a a cost of 40 dollars for 10 tabs cut into 4. The pill was plain old Robaxcet that I could have bought for much less at the drug store......I felt that I was ripped off and I do even more so now because my dog just had 25 teeth removed at a cost of over 200 dollars less that it had cost me for 6 teeth by Beattie. My dog recieved the same treatment and procedure as at Beattie. I will never return to this place. I was never impressed with the interaction of staff with me. The do not seem vested in my pet but I have found a new place that treated me and my doge with great interest and tey explained every step of his treatment to make sure I knew what was going to happen with him.

We booked an appointment last minute for our cockatiel Bubby. I was a bit worried about not going to his regular vet due to Bubby being very uncooperative. Bubby had injured his wing the night before and wasn't doing too goo. Dr. Gibbs came in with an assistant (I didn't catch your name, sorry!) and they immediately grabbed bubby, showed him what's what and gave him a once over. Trimmed up his wings on the opposite side to the injury so he could regain his balance and prescribed some pain medication. All in all, a last minute emergency appointment for a possibly broken wing cost us $20 less than taking him to other places in Hamilton just to get his beak trimmed up. Absolutely great place with awesome staff. Thank you!

  • We've had great service from the veterinary staff at Beattie Animal Hospital. We have appreciated the: - clean, well-lit, and spacious waiting area and examination rooms - courteous and friendly staff - ease of access (no problems making appointments and easy to find/park/etc.) - reasonable prices for treatments and examinations The other location in the Brantford area is equally well-managed and well-serviced.

We've had dogs and cats for many years and have been to various vets and 'pet hospitals'. Beatties is the best by far. Skip the rest and just go here. Seriously.

BEST Animal Hospital hands down!! They were fantastic with my 1 year old Shipoo puppy last night and saved her life!! I had to take Molly up to them very late last night because she had a piece of rawhide stuck in her throat and she couldn't breathe! I called Beattie as I was on my way up to let them know that she would be arriving soon. The girl at the desk took Molly into the back the moment we walked through the door! The other girl took our information and settled us into a room until the Dr was able to let us know what was going on. After a few x-rays and I guess with her moving around, Molly was able to pass the piece through her throat into her stomach. They said she immediately started giving the girls kisses. She was brought into the room where I had been waiting with a wagging tail and a calmness about her that you would think would be rare in this situation.Beattie is her regular vet, but it's amazing that they are a 24 hour service to be able to also care for her in case of emergencies. Everything is in their system and nothing more than my phone number to pull my file was needed from me. The people that work for Beattie Animal Hospital are amazing! They genuinely care for the animals and have compassion for the owners. I was too frazzled to notice any names of the staff, but whoever was working the very early morning shift on Jan 24 2014, I want to THANK YOU for everything you all did! I noticed that Beattie now has 3 locations. Brantford being their first. Upper Centennial (my location) the second.. and the newest location in Ancaster. If you live near any of these locations and own an animal, PLEASE go and see them for the health of your pet. I trust them completely with my little Molly and her twin brother, Joey. Molly was so exhausted by the time I got her home. She slept very soundly the rest of the night and was quite the happy puppy this morning.
