Highview is the first animal clinic where I felt like my pets where truly cared for. In the past I always felt like my previous veterinarians were trying to rush me in and out the door with as minimal interaction with me and my animals as possible. A visit to Highview starts with warm greetings at the front desk to friendly and thorough treatments. My pets are a very important part of my life and it's nice to know that there is a place that will treat and care for my critters as I would. It's obvious that the staff are true animal lovers and I will continue to take my pets here and recommend this business to others.

Just awful experience... 1st off it was a snow storm but i made it in there was no other customers in sight when i walked in, still had to sit in a room waiting for the vet for 10 minutes. The vet comes in does an inspection which i didn't ask for ($77) for absolutely nothing. The vet is one of the coldest people I've seen in while (maybe its an off day) she immediately tries to sell me ear solution for a problem my dog has not had in over a year. finally we get to the problem she takes one look inside the mouth says up that's it...no real reason or explanation as to why this is a sure thing"...it will cost you $600..." i don't have that money to bad trying medication. bye. this cost me $77 for no worth while information. Please bring your animals to Slat River Vet. I'm fine with the way you choose to run your business , however, i will go somewhere that at least will show a little compassion for the situation off some alternatives or a timeline..information is important and i got none.

We are a military family who gets moved around quite often. 2 years ago we lived in Thunder Bay. During this time we were raising Pugs. While we were there our Spicy Girl needed to have an emergency C-section. The staff were incredible, the doctor called in backup from her siblings to help as we were expecting a big litter for a Pug. Needless to say they did a great job and we were there though the night. Later our pug started to develop seizure's, we had Spicy fixed (no more puppies) unfortunately all the test that where run on Spice did not give us any clues as to what was going on. Since leaving Thunder Bay Spice has been healthy, up to 2 weeks ago when she had a seizure. Spice has continued to get worse. This morning I called Highview Vet to obtain Spicy Girls health records to give to our new vet. The young girl I spoke to was extremely helpful and sent us the records via fax. Thanks again.

I will never return to this clinic. I have never felt such a cold uncareing atmosphere. The lady in front of us was insulted that the very young technicians could not remember her dogs name as she was a long time patient. I will swear they appeared to be tired from the sunday night before. We felt we were given little to no explanation and consultation on our situation. We felt that they believed money was the most important issue. When I am at a vet I want to feel hope and see pictures of their sucess stories. I do not want to see an array of cremation urns behind the front desk. I would assume the clinic is so busy that the most common option given is the quick one. Put your animal down and purchase their GREAT cremation and urn package. I look at where we are now and am in tears that I was to emotionally blind to see the signs. Ours was not a success story.

The staff takes the time to explain concerns. They do not try to oversell services or other goods. They try to lay out options that are realistic while maintaining a level of decorum appropriate to the diagnosis.
