For 6 years TBVH has been absolutely wonderful in their care for our many exotic pets. As an exotic pet owner it can difficult to find medical care for an animal in need, but Dr.Panontin and the incredible Vet Techs at the Hospital have always gone the extra mile to help us at the first sign of trouble. Dr.Panontin herself has an incredible compassion for the animals she sees. Every patient we've brought into the clinic has been treated with the utmost care and dignity. I've never before known a Vet who is just as excited as the family to see a pet pull through! Everybody is always friendly, and the staff is eager to answer any questions or concerns we may have. Their after hours emergency Vet service (which is a free service for clients of the practice to call a Vet in an emergency) has been a priceless resource to our family over the years. Sadly accidents and illness often seem to come abouts outside of clinic hours, and it can sometimes be difficult to determine on your own if a situation is requiring immediate attention or not. Having the option of speaking with a Veterinarian at 4am if you are faced with an emergency is an incredible comfort for any pet owner. The cost of treatment is not what some reviewers would make it seem. Some services are cheaper, some are more expensive but overall the cost is very close to, if not at par with other clinics in the area. In my personal experience, it would have cost far more to treat our pets at other clinics for critical and long term health issues. I HIGHLY recommend Thunder Bay Veterinary Hospital, especially so if you have "alternative" pets as we do.

I have been a client of Thunder Bay Vet Hospital for over 10 yrs and am so thankful for all they have done to care for my furry family. Over the years I have had many pets there for routine preventative medial care ( vaccines, spays, neuters and dentistries) and a few medical emergencies. One of their traits I value most is that they are always there when I need them. So many of the veterinarians ( Dr. Kubinec, Dr. Beveridge and Dr. Panontin) and the support staff (friendly receptionists and vet techs) have helped me countless times with my many pets and I am so grateful for all they have done. My latest experience was less than a month ago, my newly adopted dog from the pound ( 10 yr old Koda) ate some poisonous mushrooms and became deathly ill within 2 hrs. I rushed him into the clinic and life-saving treatment was started immediately. Over the next 2 days Dr. Panontin, Maureen, Jo-Anne, Teagan and the rest of the wonderful staff helped to save my Koda's life. Today Koda is back to himself feeling better than ever and I have all the very special people at Thunder Bay Veterinary Hospital to thank for that. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone who values compassionate and quality professional veterinary care.

I have been going to the Thunder Bay Veterinary Hospital for years with my pets. The receptionists are always friendly and welcoming. I have dealt with each of the veterinarians at some point and have found them to be kind and very knowledgeable. The prices are comparable to the other veterinary hospitals. I like that they have a separate waiting area for both dogs and cats. The waiting room is always clean and the home-baked cookies are great! I always recommend this vet clinic to my friends and family.

Poor service, only interested in money.... Dragged my dog by the neck with her collar( I should of left then!!!!), wouldn't let me sit with her when she had her ultrasound. They told me to " go run some errands " When I came back my little Shih-Tzu was totally stressed. I wanted a copy of her blood tests and the receptionist refused to give them to me. Said only doctor can give them to me. I wanted to speak with the doctor, said she was too busy...but in the meantime your bill is $400. I put my little girl in the car and her bum was COVERED in poop...now all over my hand and in my car!!! If you like spending money thats all this place is good for.I left without paying ( only way to get to talk to a doctor. ) Shamefull business , never go there.
