We have had nothing but great experiences with DPAH. Both Doctors Norwich and Avery have been very patient and understanding of our double doodle Benny. They have been open to answering all the questions my partner and I have had. They were even able to squeeze an ER appointment in on a late afternoon. They have always followed up with a phone call the next day and are all very friendly and knowledgeable. We like their clinic and staff better then any of the others we visited in the mid-town area.
On Wednesday August 7th 2013. my 2.5 years old Toy Chihuahua was in labor that went very wrong. She was in excruciating pain, had very bad contractions, but the baby wouldn't come out. I rushed to Davisville Animal Park Hospital and we were seen by Dr. Elizabeth Davis ( the most caring vet in Canada ). Dr. Davis kept my dog on observation for about 1 hour, and after that she told me that my dog needs immediate C-Section, otherwise she will die, because the puppy can't get out naturally. Dr.Davis showed her heart and true love for animals, and she did everything possible she could, to help my little girl. Thanks to Dr. Davis knowledge and fast performance, vets were able to perform C-Section and they save Mom and a Puppy, so now we are a happy big family. Thank you Dr. Davis, and God Bless You, you are a true vet and the most caring person I ever met. Maltais Family thanks you for that.
I took in our 18 month old Silver Labrador Blue for a second opinion on an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury since we had received multiple conflicting opinions from our previous veterinary clinic. Dr. Stephen Avery took nearly an hour and did a thorough exam and carefully explained both the surgical and non-surgical alternatives and potential outcomes. For now we are going to go with the non-surgical approach since it appears to be only a partial tear and Blue is relatively young. This will include anti-inflammatories, Glucosamine supplements and movement restrictions in the near term. He even referred us to a canine physiotherapy clinic with a good record with these types of injuries. Well it's been 2 months now and Blue is just fine. We have continued the anti-inflammatories, Glucosamine supplements and movement restrictions and he seems to have completely recovered. I am sure he will never have full range of motion in that knee and he will always favor the other one when he sits but that is what would have happened even with the $3000 surgery. I will NEVER take my boys to any vet in Toronto OTHER THAN Dr. Stephen Avery. He is our hero!
They know their stuff. I was quite happy with how they treated both me and my pets. Thanks to Steve and Jessica.
These guys are fantastic. They're great with my pet, and the service has always been impeccable. Highly recommended.
