Dr. Bonder is amazing. She has been so sweet and saved my cat's life and also saved me money. She has gone so out of her way to help me and my cats, even helping me during her personal time over email or phone calls. Everyone is so caring.
I visited the Downtown Toronto Cat Clinic when my cat developed a bad cold. Dr. Bonder understood I was on a budget and worked with me to make sure I stayed within that budget. All the blood work and any other testing was discussed with me and prices were discussed so that I could make an informed decision. The treatment of antibiotics only cost about 25 dollars which was great news. Dr. Bonder was personable and was very gentle with my cat. The receptionist/vet assistanst really seemed to care about my cat's condition and help me feel comfortable..My cat hates the outdoors and loud sounds so he was freaked out. This relaxing atmosphere helped him wind right down. All in all this place is exactly what to look for in a vet- a vet willing to work within your budget, excellent service and an amazing atmosphere. Dr. Bonder genuinely seems to work within your budget AND care about your cat's well being.
I am so happy my husband and I found the Downtown Toronto Cat Clinic to provide end-of-life care for our geriatric kitty, Maxie. At 21 years old, Maxie sadly developed a cancerous tumour which was biopsied and diagnosed at another veterinary clinic. Unfortunately, over the years with university and living abroad, we had not brought Maxie for regular veterinary examinations so this was a very stressful, painful, and sad situation for both her and my family . I found the first clinic that diagnosed her to be quite unsympathetic with our situation - they did not offer advice regarding our decision, nor proper expectations/instructions for administering medication. We were caught between surgical costs which may not be curative for a senior cat and wanting to do the right thing for the animal companion I loved since childhood. Dr. Bonder and her team at the Downtown Toronto Cat Clinic were extremely helpful and provided insight, compassion, and advice for making the best decision for Maxie's health and our situation. They are a knowledgeable and skilled team who specialize in cat care and handle each individual with respect, confidence, and mastery. Dr. Bonder's staff provided excellent advice for us over the phone and organized a house-call appointment so that Maxie could remain within the comfort of our own home. This was by-far the best option we could have asked for as we made the difficult decision for her to be put to sleep. It was horrible enough to have to say good-bye after 21 years and doing so in the clinic would have been fairly stressful for Maxie and devastating for us. We received thorough advice on how to prepare Maxie and ourselves for this appointment. Dr. Bonder and her team's professionalism truly facilitated Maxie's last moments to be as stress-free as possible. When we are ready to adopt again, we will definitely be regulars with the Downtown Toronto Cat Clinic and highly recommend the quality veterinary care they provide. Thank you, Dr. Bonder and staff.
I was concerned about the plaque buildup on my cats teeth and this vet seemed well reviewed so I figured I'd give them a chance. Previously I had gone to a different vet who always seemed rushed and really didn't treat my cat the way I'd like. Not the case here. Dr Bonder is definitely the best vet I've dealt with and makes every effort to make the experience good for the cat and the owner. And my cat is not at all easy to deal with, he's big and really doesn't like being restrained. She cleaned his teeth, and recommended a few ways to keep them clean in the future without requiring brushing. She also cleaned some hardened wax out from deep inside his ears and provided treatment for a ear mite infestation I didn't even know my cat had. He's much happier cat now. To those who are concerned about prices, I can't really directly compare costs to other vets. That said, I'd be wary of any place that offered cheap medical care of any kind. These procedures take a lot of training and expensive equipment, I'd expect it to be reasonably costly. Her prices seemed very appropriate considering the procedures performed. For comparison, I got my dog fixed at a cheap place in Mississauga and the experience and the result were both very poor. Never again. I'm not going to risk the health of my animals for the sake of a few dollars. Especially when there are places like this that offer great service at still reasonable prices.
After the recent experience I had at the Downtown Toronto Cat Clinic, I have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Bonder and her wonderful staff. When my 15 year old cat Rachel was in need of emergency medical care, the team at the Downtown Toronto Cat Clinic was kind and understanding from the start. The level of care and concern that Rachel received was absolutely unmatched by any other veterinarian that I have experienced. Dr. Bonder has an understanding for the specific needs of cats and treats them with kindness, love, and respect. I would recommend Dr. Bonder to anyone who loves their cat, and wants the best care possible. The total cost was extremely reasonable and I honestly feel that Dr. Bonder and her staff went far and beyond my expectations, and expressed a genuine concern for my cat. I will be happy to return to the clinic for all of my future feline veterinary needs.
