Scott Bainbridge has been our vet since he opened the Queen West Animal Clinic before the Dundas West Clinic. He's not known for over prescribing or pushing unnecessary treatment. But if he recommends something, it's for good reason. This was the case when we came in last year and then again in early May this year. Last year he told me about the increasing prevalence of ticks and lyme disease in our High Park neighbourhood and made sure my pets were already started on their flea and tick meds. I pulled a tick from my dog on the weekend and Scott explained why some types of ticks don't respond to the meds. Good to know. He told me that it was best to do a blood test in 30 days and the clinic will call me to set up an appointment. I'm very grateful for his informed style of pet care!

A year ago our dog tested positive for Lyme disease, with lab results ordered through this clinic by Scott Bainbridge at our insistence. At that time he told us he did not want to order the test as Lyme disease is non existent in Toronto. The test came back from the Lab with a resounding positive and the side effects of the lyme were cleared up within 2 days of doxycycline treatment (and a further 30-45 days to take down antigen levels). Unfortunately there have been a couple subsequent flare ups since and each time I have had to fight tooth and nail to have the correct treatment prescribed. On our last visit (05/06/14) this vet refused treatment again suggesting the arthritis like joint pain was more likely a torn ACL than Lyme. When pressed as to why he refused to script for Lyme, we were told he did not believe our dog had Lyme as there were no cases of Lyme in Toronto (or Ontario for that matter) and he could become quite famous and write a paper on it if it were indeed the case. THIS IS WITH A POSITIVE LYME DISEASE TEST LAB RESULT IN HER FILE! Needless to say we have transferred care to another clinic where her lyme disease can be properly managed in a timely manner.. I'm quite at a loss as to how the staff at Dundas West Clinic can continue to deny the existence of lyme disease existence in Toronto. That's a shockingly poor level of care.when quick diagnosis and treatment is key to keeping the damage of the disease at a minimum.

Dr. Scott Bainbridge has been our family Vet since April 2001....and has treated our family Pets professionally and with compassion, always making them feel comfortable during visits. Dr. Folosea has also been an excellent Vet and trusted friend to our dogs. I can say with all certainty....that I have NEVER had any problems with the service at Dundas West Animal Hospital....and that I have always found ALL the Staff...to be friendly and helpful....and also caring and empathetic during times that were sad for our Family. I find their rates to be very reasonable for the excellent care that is provided....and I appreciate that they don't "push" products...like other Vets I have had in the past. Our Family highly recommends Dr. Bainbridge and the awesome Staff at Dundas West Animal Hospital.

Dundas West Animal Hospital has been great to work with - they are very flexible with scheduling and they are in a convenient location so parking, ttc access, is a breeze! The staff are so friendly and helpful - and are always able to answer questions about my dog's health.

This is the first clinic we took our fur kid since moving into Toronto. They were very professional, friendly and knowledgable. It was a wonderful first experience and I am glad my pets' health is in such good hands!
