Went to this clinic with my cat who developed diabetes. Doctor Bureau was very helpful. She did a blood sugar curve and determined the right dose of insulin for him. Price was very reasonable for the service. My cat appears very happy and is more active now. I highly recommend this clinic.
Sadly, after the passing of Dr. Fraser (RIP), the business has been taken over and all for the worst, I am afraid. DO NOT GO HERE ANYMORE. This clinic was fantastic when Mr. Fraser was alive and running it. Mr. Fraser cared deeply for his patient - all the animals. He was a great vet and a great man. The new people, all they care about is money, money, and more money. They do not give a rat's ass about your pets or you, as the owner. They push you with unnecessary procedures just to get money from you. If you resist, they threaten to take the animal away from you (even put it to sleep). They are horrible people. AVOID AT ALL COST.
My dog's yearly check-up at Fraser-MacDonald Animal Hospital was a bad experience. I will not go back. Here are the reasons: 1. Cost: the total bill was $427.13. This bill included 2 vaccinations (leptospira & bordetella), a heart worm test, & heartworm medication for 6 months. 2. Organization: The vaccination certificate that I received is incorrect (i.e., it says rabies when bordetella & leptospira were actually administered...or so I hope). 3. Drawing blood: It seemed the staff had trouble drawing blood from my dog for the heart worm test. It took about 10 minutes, & when my dog returned, she had a blood stain on both front legs. 4. Out of stock: they did not have the heartworm medication in stock, so I have to go back.
This is the best vet in the West end especially for cats. My cats have never been worried going there and they are calm the whole time when seeing the vet. This clinic is fair and doesn't gouge you with needless tests etc. and they are 100 percent concerned about the health of the animals there. I found out about it from another person that uses this vet exclusively and I have only used this clinic ever since.
always the best service feel very bad that we lost such a great vet my condolences goes out to his family and friends loved that place with all my heart
