How can someone in the profession of helping sick animals have the absolute worst bedside manner I've ever experienced. I brought in my dog for tests, just tests. He wasn't ill but I suspected a mild infection. 4 days later mid afternoon while I was at work I received a call basically telling me my dog was dying, this is too complicated a case for them to handle and they would be transferring my file to another doctor I've seen in the past. That was it. That was the extent of the conversation, on the phone and as dismissive as I've described. Never will I walk through those doors again. By the way, she gave him a painkiller to administer the tests bloodwork and urinalysis which left him unable to eat, sleep and with diarrhea for 3 days. When informed of this the response was, "well he's a very ill dog". He wasn't ill when I brought him in. It's taken a week but he's much better now, thank god. I will be going to my regular vet, but I've learned convenience and locality is not worth it. I'll drive back out to north Brampton before I walk 50ft into this disaster of a clinic. I'm so sorry I put my pup through this poor excuse for a doctor 'FIRST DO NO HARM!!'

We cannot express enough gratitude to the team at the Humber Bay Animal Hospital. Our elderly cat had a medical emergency late on a Sunday afternoon, and we brought him to the Humber Bay Animal Hospital. It was our first visit, and we felt very fortunate to find emergency services only two minutes from our home. We had one prior late-evening emergency incident with our cat years ago when we lived elsewhere in the city, and at that time were forced to go to the after-hours Veterinary Emergency Clinic downtown, after which he had to be transferred to our local vet for follow-up care. We couldn't believe our luck in discovering that the Humber Bay Animal Hospital had lengthy open hours, 7 days a week. During his stay at the hospital, our cat received the best possible care. Dr. Pacia, Dr. Ibrahim and the assistant team were uniformly attentive, compassionate, respectful and reassuring. We were continually updated on our pet's condition and prognosis, and communication from both doctors and staff was consistent, transparent and inclusive. Specifics of test results were shared and explained, and outcome scenarios were conveyed with both pragmatism and compassion. The assistant staff was patient and kind in taking our daily phone calls and updating us on our pet's condition as he awaited, and then recovered from, surgery. After the initial emergency, our stress was greatly eased during the subsequent days of our cat's surgery and recovery, as we knew how well he was being cared for by Humber Bay's entire team during his hospital stay. Although we are fortunate to have our cat back at home with us (with at least one of his lives left intact), even when his prognosis was indeterminable we recognized our fortune in finding the team at Humber Bay Animal Hospital. We wish them deserved future success.

I recently took my 9 week old puppy to see dr ibrahim and was totally disgusted! Upon noticing that the puppy had poorer reflexes on his left side than on his right side the dr suggested repeatedly that I should return my dog. Not once did he inform me on the potential problems nor did he advise me as to treatment, he simply said I should return my dog. As ANY dog owner knows, your dog is a part of your family and this type of advice is just unacceptable. I would suggest staying far away - he was just awful!
