Vet saw I was worried... took advantage and sold me useless antibiotic treatment that cost 300$. Told me to come back once she had 'analyzed' the specimen she took off the cat. I later discovered on my own that all my cat had was cat acne. Gave her antibiotics for nothing....

I'm a professional free-lance writer for both the U.S. and Canada. However, in a nutshell, yes, they are very over-priced. These people are not specialists, but they charge as such. I'll be making an official review. I felt baited in having to pay for services, where they could have told me in my first consultation with them that my cat had a murmur. I was not told as such. Instead, I had to pay for anti-biotics, blood works to get my cat prepped up for a simple tooth cleaning. I bring my cat on the day of her teeth cleaning, only to be told 4 hrs. later by Dr. Farley that she didn't want to clean the teeth because she thought she heard a heart murmur. She wasn't sure. But, she refused to do a teeth cleaning and gave me all her medical reasons on phone trying to endorse her supposed professionalism as to why she didn't want to do this, and then had the brazen audacity to chalk it off as a consultation, charging me?? When inquiring about these prices, Dr. Farley sarcastically said, "We have to make a living too" (?) Also, why wasn't I informed of this supposed 'heart murmur' at the very FIRST consultation? I wouldn't have had to spend on 'anti-biotics', blood test and extras? So, I ended having to go home, with a cat that was tired, hungry, and teeth cleaning not done, whilst they pocketed money which they never should have had to begin with if they would have done their work correctly. Yes, extremely UN-professional and unethical business. Enough to be reported to the Veterinarian medical board in St. Hyacinth. I was very nice to these people to not have merited this type of business manipulation. 1. They bait people to pay extra; 2. They do not properly inform on 1st consultation; 3. They charge way too much, especially for such lack of professionalism; 4. They condescend other Veterinarians in their process.

Since I used to live close to this place, it was the default place I would bring my cats. Probably the only reason I kept using their services was because it was so close by. The technicians are super nice. Dr. Spooner is also very nice, you can really tell she loves her job. You must avoid Dr. Fitzgerald at all costs. She is rude and way too pushy about her products. I once went in for a booster shot only, and it ended up costing a little under $100. On top of everything, Dr. Fitzgerald said i wasn't taking good care of my cat because he was obese. She said I was feeding him the wrong type of food and apparently too much of it. I got the cat from them (after their previous owners dumped him at the vet) about 2 months before this occurred so he was already over weight when I got him. And to top is all off they were providing the food for the first few months (and told me how much to feed him) as it was part of the deal if I took him in. Also once I went to get my cat's claws trimmed (he really hates it). He was fighting them pretty good and in the process a technician cut the claw to close to the quick and therefore made the cat bleed. When I inquired about the blood on the table, the technician said that my cat had scratched her and that was where the blood was coming from. I took her word for it. When I got home however I could see the blood was coming from its paw. Cutting the claw to close to the quick is a mistake anyone could make. But straight up lying to your client is really bad. If they try and hide the small things, what about the big things?
