What an amazing clinic! Dr. Louise Beaudin is a highly skilled and caring vet, as well as a generally wonderful person. She has always gone above and beyond to help with my two 14 year old cats. The time and energy she has put into my pets is amazing. I recommend this clinic to anyone who wants the best service for their cats, especially when finances may be tough. I'd give six stars if I could.

I've had cats for almost 25 years. In that time I have visited many vets, good and bad, and this is the vet I've chosen as our "family doctor". It's been about ten years now. Started using this vet when I had a senior cat that needed end-of-life care. Really appreciated that she always took the time to fully explain the test results & discuss the diagnosis. She did her best to make sure that I understood what was going on, and all the pros and cons, so I could make an informed decision; and then she stood back and let me decide. That cat survived nine more years. And when I was ready to adopt again, they hooked me up. :) Anyways. She knew I was on a budget and we always discussed the cost, the alternatives, what was necessary and what was optional. I was never surprised by a bill. There's very good follow-through care here - the assistants are experienced, they're familiar with our files, and I've seen the same faces for years. (Other places that I went to previously seemed to have a really high turnover rate, and I wonder if they're relying on unpaid students doing interships, does anybody know?) And whenever I'm in for simple stuff that the assistants handle, the vet always pops in to say hi. I live on the other side of the island, and I go out of my way to come here. Truly baffled by the bad press, it's just not been my experience & doesn't seem fair, but I suppose that's just life. I've never had a complaint unless you count the cats kvetching about the car trip. So there you go, that's my two cents. This is my vet and I'm staying. :)

This place is overpriced and the staff did not know their job. They were very inconsiderate and rude to me and instead of treating my cat, they were asking me to do other irrelevant exams to charge me more. They charged me about 250$ dollars for a blood test and did not even offer my cat some nutritional supplements or offer me a good consult. Never will go back again.

Chat Montreal = Unprofessional service and way overpriced. The technicians there seem to all hate their job and the animals they have to deal with. I took my rescued cat there twice before I realized it was not a good place for her. When I called to have her file transferred to ANIMA + on Laurier (great vet, great techs, great service), the receptionist told me I needed to give her my credit card number over the phone so they could charge me a 25$ fee for the transfer (a procedure which consists of faxing a two page document to the new clinic). I called back the ANIMA+ clinic to check if this is considered a normal procedure and was informed by the vet that no clinic should charge anything for a simple file transfer. We agreed for me to simply bring my cat's health bill so I wouldn't have to deal with the con artists over at Chat Montreal.

Took my cat there for the first time. I really liked the vet and the staff. They were nice and explained everything very well. Highly recommended.
