Took my dog for acupuncture, as that's one of the last resorts we have to treat his trapped nerve. Vet seemed knowledgeable and helpful, in a no-nonsense way. If the review below was about acupuncture, (given this is one of the few practices where you can get it performed) yes, the needles are re-used, they are not hypodermic needles, they are solid, having no hole up the centre so they are easily sterilised, and yes, your 'animal' (you don't specify, some 'review') may feel discomfort initially, that's just the way it is, it's not a magic bullet. If only people would research a subject before adding a review.
Vet reused the same needle from previous consult. The needle was blunt and hurt animal, practise backwards did not seem to be keeping up with the times. The vet did not do a clinical exam/ask any questions to find out what was wrong with the animal just assumed it was one condition before the animal came in.
