EXPENSIVE EXPENSIVE EXPENSIVE!!! the past and received helpful service and moderate pricing. However, my cat's clinic was having difficulty getting me in so I decided to bring him to Banfield as well. Huge mistake, charged me 40 dollars just to LOOK at him and then tell me it'd be 400$ to x-ray him for a problem we already knew he had! Why do you think we brought him in? To look pretty? I will never take my dog here again after this, nor either of my cats. Not even a ***human BEINGS X-rays cost that much***! And we tried to pick up the cat they tried to get us to pay for medications, equipment, anything they could shove on us! Who just prescribes a cat pain killers like that?! For all they knew it was a pulled muscle! We sucked it up and took the cat back to his normal clinic, the grand total was 60 dollars for the same wonderful service he'd always received. The x-ray was 25$ of that 60. The people who decided these prices are INSANE!
Banfield has been the worst experience of my life!! DON'T TRUST THEM!!! I signed up for a one year membership for my cat, Dayman, in November 2011. In October of 2012 I received a call from Banfield corporate offices asking me if I would like to renew my membership. I said no, please cancel it. The woman said ok. November I got charged again. I called the cancellation number and stayed on hold for 30 minutes. No one answered and I had to go to work. I called my Banfield hospital and told the woman my situation. She said she would handle the cancellation for me and refund my payment. December came and I have still not received my refund and I am charged again. I called the cancellation number and was on hold for almost 30 minutes again before an extremely rude woman answered. She told me that she will only refund December and that there was no record of me talking to anyone before. I hung up and called the Comments hotline and talked to a woman that transferred me to a manager's voicemail. I left her a message and she called me back. She told me that she would refund BOTH December AND November and she was sorry for the trouble. Well, I just received my refund for December and NOT November. So once again I call the hotline and talk to a woman and she says ONCE AGAIN that there is no record of me talking to the manager and that they were only going to refund me December. She has put in a request for my refund on November but she says it's not guaranteed. I WILL NEVER EVER USE OR RECOMMEND BANFIELD! They have the WORST customer service (which I would know, I work in customer service) and they will LIE to YOU! BEWARE! Also, I have decided to no longer shop at PETSMART. I will take my business to Petco and Pet Supplies Plus. I have a cat and a dog, they are my children and we spend a lot of money on them.
