In true form to the kind of petty, hateful, bigoted attitude that this part of Alabama produces, my experience today trying to get my desperately sick rabbit in to see the vet was met with the typical refusal of basic service. When asked, "Can I bring my rabbit in today to see ANYONE?" The receptionist refused to say either "yes" or "no." Rather, she hemmed and hawed around the refrain, "The vet that sees rabbits isn't in today." Well, I've taken my rabbit to non-rabbit vets, at that clinic, even, and they've at least been able to treat her enough to get her GI tract moving again. Rather than ask the on-site vet, the receptionist (I'm sure her GED and Associate of Internet Degree in Veterinary Coloring Books qualifies her as an expert on what a vet knows and doesn't know) couldn't even be bothered to check. It wasn't about trying to help my rabbit, who is now dying; It was about telling me "no" without having the decency to tell me "no." It was about being too lazy to get up and check with the on-staff vet to see what they thought. My poor rabbit is dying. She is in utter agony. You people are sadistic. EDIT: She's dead. Thanks for nothing.

My french bulldog suddenly became severely ill and we had to rush her to AMC one night. The only way I know how to describe the way they treated both her and myself is amazing. She spent two nights in the doggie icu and they kept me updated on how she was doing. They treat them like they are part of their family and not just an animal. Since her release, the vets that took care of her have called multiple times to check on her and see how she is progressing. After my experience I now have a new vet clinic.
