I am a breeder with a large number of small dogs. I spend a fair amount of time and a great deal of money at the vet. Over the years I have used several very good vets in the area, but I am most happy with the care, the service and the prices at Westside Veterinary Hospital. Whether it is routine screening or an emergency C-section at 4:00am, they never let me down. I work mostly with Dr Dixie Mahan, but I also have a high regard for Dr Andy Wilkes and Dr Jarrod Harney. The techs and the reception staff are also first rate. All are knowledgeable, but also willing to listen. Prices are always fair. Good vet care is not inexpensive, but I never feel that money is the most important issue at Westside. Their focus is invariably on providing the very best possible care for my dogs.

We love veterinarian Dixie Mahan. She has always gone over and above for our various dogs and cat. She is patient and willing to discuss all options and answer in detail any questions that we have. And the prices are much more reasonable than in Huntsville to which we live closer.

Westside Veterinary Hospital has the most loving, caring and understanding staff ever!!!! They have been my Vet for all my animals for years now, and I wouldn't have it any other way!! I panicked when my nosey little Lab got a fish hook stuck in her lip in the late evening, but one call to Westside and she was in the hospital, fish hook out, and I was assured she was fine!!! No more tears and Miss Dixie took such tender care of my nosey baby and me!!!!!! I would highly recommend Westside to anyone who loves their pets and wants the best care for them!!

We've been using Westside Vet for over 20 years, wouldn't use anyone else. It doesn't matter to us which doctor we see, because they are all so friendly, caring and patient with our animals, and don't leave us until all our questions are answered. We've boarded our dogs there a few times and never worry about them, we know they are taken care of and loved.
