Although, this is not a review, i could not find a page to ask a question. So here goes. I am a 69 year disabled lady with a 7 year dauschaund, who is my companion.I understand, that these dogs are subject to hip problems. Mine has not had any yet, but, I would love to try and prevent it. If you could please tell me how. Also, I have a problem with her weight(over), please tell the best food to give to her. At the moment I feed her Science Diet, very low calorie food, she hates it. I also buy her marrow bones (fresh) from my local publix, she loves to eat the marrow out of the center. Is this good? she never eats the bone. I really need to keep her healthy, please help me. My daughter and son-in-law graduated from Auburn.
Our sweet Petey puppy came to the AU Emergency vet clinic several times and always received top notch care. His last visit was 3 days ago when he had complications with his seizure disorder and was unable to recover. We spoke with students, with a doctor and a neurologist. They truly have a 24 hour staff to care for animals like no other. They had just moved into their new facility and they have a room with a comfortable couch and chairs. They brought our beloved companion in to us and we were able to talk to him and hold him as he took his last breaths. We sobbed big ugly snotty tears, they gave us time to cry and were so compassionate and caring. They made us an imprint of his paw in clay and gave it to us when we left. Truly world class service and a state of the art facility. Thank you AU vet school, you saved our baby several times and took away his pain and comforted us when we needed it. I can not begin to tell you how important that was for us that you cared. That you sat with us and that you handed us tissues. To the young man who was on his first week on the job that sat on the floor with me while I held my beloved dog and cried, I will NEVER ever forget you!
