Went to Riverview after an awful experience at the Emergency Medical Clinic on Acton Road. My 10# Papillon needed a rhinoscope and Riverview is equipped to do this test. I was scheduled quickly, everyone was friendly, I was seen promptly, every step of the visit was explained, and the clinic was clean!!! Dr. Campbell was thorough but very gentle with my furbaby, and was patient with me as well. I was very pleased with our specialty treatment and highly recommend this group if you need specialty testing or any care for exotics (birds, reptiles, bunnies). Additionally, I heard a couple in the exam room next to me consulting with the animal ophthalmologist now on staff - - just in case your creature has eye trouble...

I have been going to Riverview since they opened 100 years ago...I think. I came with Serwitz when he moved from Standifers. He and all the other vets there are fantastic. I lost count of how many dogs I have been through, and only trust Riverview. Serwitz is semi- retired now. So I do use any of the other vets that are available. If you need to complain about the cost of vet care, then you shouldn't own a pet. No vet is cheap, and inferior care is not an option in my book.

I have been using the vets at Riverview for about 15 years and absolutely LOVE this clinic! From the receptionists to the vet techs to the vets, everyone is absolutely awesome! Up front, Melody, Janet, Kristi, and Heather are amazing and always helpful. For example, they always have my special order food in stock and they are always super willing to take the time to schedule appointments to fit my crazy schedule! Chris is one of my favorite vet techs because she has been there for so long and she voluntarily helped with an emergency surgery for my lab on a Sunday evening when she first started working at the clinic years ago. All of my babies love her! At some point, I have seen every vet at Riverview and I never worry about who I might have to see in an emergency or on a Sunday if I have to go in because they are all top notch. Dr. Atlas and Dr. Campbell are fantastic! Over the years they have taken care of all of my furry and feathered children. Dr. Campbell stepped in and provided amazing care to my diabetic kitty when Dr. Williams moved to another state and he was wonderful. More recently, both Dr. Atlas and Dr. Campbell have seen my sun conure as well as both of my Papillons and while they are always thorough, they never recommend tests or treatments that aren't necessary. They are also committed to educating clients about the best care and maintenance routines for their pets. Recently I have seen Dr. Wallach for a work-in and she was awesome as well! My sweet girl was back to 100% in no time. I just saw Dr. Wood today for a last minute appointment and he was very helpful and thorough just like everyone else. Dr. Serwitz is such a wonderful resource as well and he is a wealth of information. He performed an emergency life-saving surgery for my lab and I will always appreciate him for that. I HIGHLY recommend Riverview to anyone who asks me for a vet recommendation! All of the vets have very different personalities, but all are very compassionate and committed to their patients. The resources at this clinic are second to none in the area and the entire staff is always friendly and professional! I can't say enough positive things about them! :)

The people at the front desk are rude. They do not appear concerned about the paying customer or pets. I brought my dog in for her second round of shots today. I was not greeted upon entry and had to stand awkwardly at the desk before I was acknowledged and all I got was "Can I help you?" Five people were at the front desk and none of them made an effort to properly say "Hey. How are you doing?" or to even fake a smile. The person that finally waited on me was so indifferent and seemed so unhappy about being there that it made me feel unwelcome. So, I said forget it and walked out. I will not be coming back here and giving my hard earned money away for such rude service. Price of service is a rip off. I came in a month ago for my dog's visit and ended up paying $250. I had no complaints as she had to have a lot of vaccinations and she had an ear infection. I came in this month for her second round of shots and was told that I have to pay the $40 charge again for another exam (which she just had 4 weeks ago) in order for her to receive her vaccinations. This clinic does not seemed concerned with the wellness of pets. To me, it seems more of a way to make money.

I have two dogs age 13 -- and they both have serious health conditions, and Dr. Tate at Riverview is the finest veterinarian they have ever had (and we have seen at least 20 vets over the years because my job has taken me to several cities). Although I now live in Atlanta, I continue to travel 3 hrs to Riverview a few times a year to have them see Dr. Tate. She caught a very aggressive cancer in one of my babies, who should have been dead in a year. Thanks to Dr. Tate's quick detection, Dolly has survived a type of cancer that kills almost all dogs. I have absolute trust in her and give the clinic the highest reviews. I have noted a few low reviews that talk about admin or cost issues... these individuals seem ignorant about health costs -- it costs the same to perform an ultrasound on a dog as a human, and some veterinary diagnostics are more because the animal must be sedated. In addition to Dr. Tate, my dogs have also seen Dr. Wood and Dr. Campbell. I found them all to be very professional and knowledgeable. If you love your dogs as children, they are in good hands at Riverview.
