I was so impressed with Animal Care Clinic and especially Dr. Sarah Tankersley. Our dog had severe vomiting all night on a Saturday night. The next morning the only place open other than the Emergency Care Clinic was Animal Care Clinic. No appointment is ever necessary. They saw us right away and took x-rays of my dog's stomach. Nothing showed up. They gave my dog something for nausea and fluids because she was dehydrated from all of the vomiting. My dog didn't vomit any more but the rest of that day and all through the night she was lethargic. I took her back first think the next morning. They took more x-rays and again saw nothing. They did exploratory surgery and found part of a silicon pacifier in her intestines. Dr. Tankersley called me with regular updates. She also encouraged us to visit our dog as often as we wanted. And they meant it. We went twice a day to visit her and the staff was welcoming. They put us in a room and closed the door. We were able to spend quiet time with our dog as long as we wanted. We were able to take her home four days later, on Friday. Our dog is healing well and perking up. We have to get the staples removed later in the week. We are so appreciative of the service we received. Thank you!

We are so PLEASED with our recent experience with Animal Care Clinic! Our 4lb Yorkie had a bag leg issue that my wife and I had no idea how to treat. We decided to take him to this vet because of a positive referral from a friend. They got us in to see the vet in no time and she was the sweetest lady ever! Within minutes she had our yorkie calm and loving on her(which is a miracle in itself). She diagnosed him with exactly what was wrong and had us all feeling better once we left. Not only did the procedure go very well, the cost was very reasonable! We will definitely be using this vet again for all our pet needs! Thank you for the great service!

Took my dog here that had a ruptured disc and could not walk. This kind of problem requires immediate surgery. 90 percent chance of walking again if this surgery is done within 24 hours. It was Memorial day weekend and they told me the only place that could do this surgery was in Decatur and with it being Memorial day weekend they would not be able to get to me until Tuesday. This was on a Sunday. They said leave the dog here until Tuesday morning that way you can pick the dog up and go straight to Decatur. Come to find out when we got to the Doctor in Decatur we find out that they are open 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year. My dog sat a this sorry vet for 2 days needing immediate surgery and could have had surgery the day we took him. His chances of ever walking again now are very slim. The Doctor in Decatur was furious that this Vet let my dog sit there for 2 days and never picked up a phone to call to see if they were open. THANKS A LOT FOR REDUCING THE CHANCE OF MY DOG EVER WALKING AGAIN!!!!

WARNING!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!! Even if it's Sunday and they are the only ones open... You are better off waiting to take them somewhere else I PROMISE. I am SO furious with this place. The staff is RUDE and they obviously DO NOT CARE about animals. I brought my dog in to have a check-up as he had been shaking his head a lot/scratching his ears. Dr. Tankersley looked at my dog. All she did was pull his ear flap up and look at it and said oh it doesn't look bad at all. I asked what she thought about the skin on his ear flap which has small clusters of bumps. She said it looked like mosquito bites or pimples, then proceeded to SQUEEZE my dog's irritation with her nails as if popping a pimple, putting my dog into discomfort. Note that I had already told her my dog has had the clusters on his skin for more than 2 months. Anyone with eyes could see that they are clearly not pimples or mosquito bites (which she admitted to afterwards). This is not the worst part, keep reading. At first she kept writing his condition off as "possibly" allergies. I had to ASK for her to actually look into my dog's ear with the otoscope (she was prepared to be done with the visit had I not made her do what she is SUPPOSED to do and use the otoscope to peer into his canal). Why on earth I would have to ask a vet to use an otoscope on my dog when I am coming in to have his ears checked is beyond me! Then she continued to write it off and said his ears looked fine but that she would prescribe something just in case it is yeast/mites/or some other type of infection, something that would take care of it all in one product in case there is some type of infection. So she essentially gave me a blanket prescription! I got the vibe that she was not very interested in properly diagnosing my dog's ear problem. Not only that, but when I asked the girl at the register to write down what the vet wrote on my dog's treatment documentation card, she wrote "Dr. cleaned & checked ears. Noticed ear infection." She did not clean my dog's ears!! She didn't do ANYTHING and I had to ask her to use the otoscope! I will NEVER trust my dog with her or anyone at this clinic EVER again, and I warn you all to think twice about coming to this clinic if you care about your pets. Oh yea, to top it all off while I am paying them a free 46$ for doing absolutely nothing...the girl at the front gave me my debit card receipt to sign. I asked if I could have a pen to sign and she made a smart remark saying "Welllll this is my personal pen but you can use the one over there." Gee, thanks but I just needed a pen - I didn't need the smart *** comment along with it. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!

I've known Dr. Muller for almost two decades, and I've probably had more opportunity than most to see what goes on behind-the-scenes at the Animal Care Clinic. What I can tell you is that it is a totally professional operation from top to bottom. Susan and her vets and staff take very seriously their responsibility for the animals entrusted to their care, and time after time I've seen them go above and beyond to help a sick animal or a wounded pet who urgently needs help. Susan is a walking medical encyclopedia, and, believe me, she's seen it all. I also know she takes great care to maintain a talented and diverse staff. The Clinic has countless customers who, like me, have been regulars for decades, and those relationships are real and lasting. If you're new to the Huntsville area and trying to figure out the best place to take your pet, you can't go wrong here.
