I have not personally brought any of my animals to ramey and after my experience today I never will! I found a little chihauhua running loose around an oil refinery. it has been there for weeks. When i finally caught her, she had a tag from Ramey on. I called and got the owners name and number, When I called the number it was out of minutes and I called to ask ramey if I could drop the dog off until I could find the owner or someone to take her. They told me flat out to take this sweet little dog to the pound! I could not believe these people who are supposed to care about animals cant find time and room for a 5 pound dog while i was trying to help her. This was their patient for crying out loud! If my animals were in this situation, the vet I use would have taken them in without question and if they couldnt contact me they would have found the dog a home, not washed their hands of the poor thing and tell people"just take them to the pound" as these people did. Why would you risk your animals life when there are so many caring vets in tuscaloosa? If your dog has tags from ramey, I suggest you have your full name address and 2 working numbers on another tag in case your dog gets lost because these people DO NOT CARE if you never get your dog back!

Great vet! The staff really cares about animals and are so friendly and polite. All three of our pets visit this vet and I highly recommend them!

I have been going to Dr. Shaver for years but he was closed on Wednesday and I had a pet emergency so I went to Ramey. The staff was so nice from the moment I walked in the door. When we got to the examination room, Dr. Ramey talked to me for a solid 15 minutes describing the problem and what he was going to do. Dr. Ramey and two assistants were in the room for the simple procedure the whole time. I paid the bill (which was a whole lot less than I had expected) and left. About an hour later, I had a call from the Lady at the front desk saying that they had overcharged me $11 and that she refunded the amount and she was very sorry. I just couldn't believe the honesty!!!! =) I will definitely go back to Dr. Ramey and am considering taking my other two dogs their as well!

I've taken many of my pets to Ramey. Their staff is caring and knowledgable! Great vet!
