I've used Dr Merritt for a couple of years off and on for all of my dogs. He saved the life of one of my dogs and has given excellent care to all of my other ones! His prices are affordable and his staff very friendly!

I have several problems with this vet. First, I took one of my dogs there to be neutered and the vet tech pulled the dog into the door and was yelling "You're coming with me whether you like it or not!". Very ridiculous! Another time our dog had an impacted anal gland and we were told that it was a perianal adenoma and that it would go away. Just googe it! It won't go away, it needs surgery. Besides that wasn't the problem, his anal glands were impacted and he is fine now after having them expressed. We boarded our dogs there last year for 6 days and left a 20 pound bag of food. When we picked them up the bag of food was full. We have 3 dogs and they would go through 20 pounds of food a week! They had two of our dogs confused. I just boarded them there again this weekend and my husband witnessed them giving them a bordetella shot as they went in, but when I picked them up there was no record of it and they gave them another one. They had two dogs confused again. This is very important because two of my dogs are on very strict diets and I had pre-packaged their food so I'm sure they probably didn't feed them what they were supposed to. They were supposed to be inside, but were extrememly hot to the touch and panting. The puppy hasn't stopped crying yet. When we got home my 4 dogs drank close to 2 gallons of water in 30 minutes and are still drinking 2 hours later. They also smell of feces. I don't think that the kennels were ever cleaned. I am terribly disgusted with this vet's office.
