Please do not take your beloved pets to this place. They ran multiple tests and finally gave up and came to the conclusion that my dog had lymphoma when they had already tested for it and it came back negative. He passed away a week later because of the incompetent staff not actually investigating his symptoms and treating him for the right thing. I urge you to drive the mile down the street to Wedington Animal Hospital. I went in and met them and the first day the doctor gave me his cell phone number and I was calling him that night. I can't help but wonder what could have been if I had gone there earlier. And that day West Oaks told them it would take over a week to send my dog's medical records to them! If you care about your pets, please take them anywhere but West Oaks.

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET TO THIS HORRIBLE MONEY HUNGRY PLACE! They tried to take advantage of me by doing random things to my pet and then charging me for them when all I wanted was a simple groom! They tried to charge me $162 when it was all said and done and they said if I did not pay up they would KEEP MY DOG! I had to get the police and the BBB involved before they finally agreed to let me have my dog back! and I still payed them $60 and THEY NEVER EVEN GROOMED HIM!!!!! I was outraged!! To top this entire nightmare off, when they gave me back my dog (who weighs only 5lbs) He was shaking and limping so I had to rush him to weddington animal hospital THESE FREAKS HURT MY DOG!!!! they did not treat him properly and when he was finally returned to me they threw him at me across the counter and he was HURT!!!!! PLEASE take your pets ANYWHERE but here!

West Oaks has been my vet for years! I can't count how many phone calls and questions I have had and they always help me with care and concern. I take my pets there while we are on vacation and they always have tails wagging and ready to see their friends at West Oaks. Dr. Nall, Dr. Cottle, and the Office Manager have been with me through the heartbreaking loss of some of my elderly pets. I wouldn't want to go through that experience without the help of West Oaks!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. It was the worst vet experience of my and my puppy's life. They were rude, unprofessional and uncaring. My dog was terrified the entire time. They didn't explain what they were doing. They didn't wear gloves. And they almost let him fall off the table. I basically overpaid for him to be tortured. I would give zero stars if I could.

I am honestly perplexed at the negative reviews...are we talking about the same place? I have been coming to West Oaks for many years and have always had a pleasant experience, as have my dogs. The staff is always courteous and helpful, the rooms clean, and vets knowledgeable. Granted, I have not taken my animals for grooming services, only vet/health checks.
