If this is an example of their care, I don't think I would EVER take my pet to them: Not sure if I'm allowed to post this, but I'm going to ask that everyone on this site say a little prayer for my family and our littlest fur baby. Our chihuahua mix broke her leg about a month ago. We took her to our vet and had the leg xrayed, surgery to have it set back in place and had the leg splinted. We had 2 weekly follow ups and then the vet told us to wait 2 weeks instead of 1 this time since it was during the holidays. Last night, we noticed that our baby's foot was swollen and her leg had a foul odor. Took her to the vet, they removed the cast/splint and there was an area where the splint rubbed that was infected.. they kept her overnight to watch her. She's been started on antibiotics and NSAIDS to help with swelling, but I was informed by my vet this morning that we may have to amputate her leg if there is any dead tissue that begins to slough off. This baby is less than a year old and the last thing I want is for her to lose her leg. The vet assures us that she will do fine with 3, but the thought just hurts my heart and makes me sick to my stomach. Not to mention the fact that I have 3 little girls and the estimate for the possible amputation was $650 on top of the hundreds we've already spent for the treatment of her fractures.. Just very stressed right now and our fur baby could use all the prayers she can get. It's Veterinary Healthcare Clinic in Paragould. The infection started on the inside of her cast, so I'm not sure they would have noticed anything last week. We sure didn't notice anything. This whole ordeal just makes me sick.
Veterinary Healthcare Clinic is a wonderful hospital! I work as a sales rep in the veterinary industry and see many things behind the scenes that most pet parents never see. The doctors and staff at VHC are wonderful and they really care about their patients and clients. VHC is also one of the cleanest hospitals that I have ever visited and I have visited hundreds of hospitals. Please beware that there are many differences between hospitals and the way they care for your pets on a personal and medical level. VHC is one of the best and I trust them with the care of my own pets as well (5 dogs, 2 cats and 2 horses). Lesa Lewis, Veterinary Television Network
This vet does accept Paws Vochers for a reduced price spay or neuter for your pet... I took my dog Coco to them and she did great!! They like to keep your animal for 24 hours for observation to make sure they are fine before sending them home....
ALWAYS sends me what I need through mail. love the accommadating way they deal with me and my sheep. what a profesional business.
