I have been taking my animals to another vet Clinic in Russellville with no complaints. I had a cat that needed to be spayed called around and Southwind had the best pricing. I took my cat in they were friendly, courteous and helpfull. They called after the procedure was done and kept me updated. I picked my cat up the next day and they just raved about her. I considered at that time switching vets because I liked the facilities and the staff was great but I wasnt sold. Then today we had a little accident a Kitten got run over in my driveway. I called them and explained the situation. My son, who is autistic was very upset. He had juat named the kitten, and he is very sensitive with animals. I called about 3:45, they told me to come right in they would take care of it for me (putting the cat down). I was expecting it to be expensive which is not a huge deal but I am on a very fixed income. We didnt arrive until almost 5. My son wanted to say his goodbyes. When we were almost there the kitten was awake and my son was petting him and looked at me and said he wanted to be in the room when the kitten was put to sleep. I explained to him what all it enatiled but wasnt sure if he understood. The staff was supurbe. They took Porkins (the kittens name) and examined him to make sure nothing more could be done. The Vet tech came out and talked to me and my son for a few minutes and then took Porkins to the vet to get looked at and preped. The vet and her tech came out and took us in a room, put the kitten on the table so my son could pet him and love on him and that was that. Everybody including the receptionist were in tears at how brave My son had been. They foud us a little box and my son carried him out and told them he was coming home to bury him. Which he did ostly by himself (because he wanted to). The staff was amazing. I can't say it enough. I am going to start taking all of my animals there. Their compassion today was unsurpassed. They went above and beyond and showed what care and compassion truly mean.
