We had to take our beloved 15.5 year old lab mix in last night. It was an incredibly hard decision but we knew it was time to have her put down. The staff was AMAZING and comforting in a very sad situation. They didn't rush, they answered all questions, they were kind and they made it as easy for me as they possibly could have. I haven't used an emergency vet in years (and I didn't compare pricing with my normal vet) but I felt the services I needed for very reasonable priced. Would recommend with no hesitation.

We have never had a bad experience here. This is our regular vet. We've also used their emergency services, when our dog got a fox tail (a weed) stuck in her ear. In all cases, our dog has been very well handled, and all staff is very knowledgeable. We have dealt with two veterinarians, and both are extremely professional and have knowledge of our dog's condition. We were very impressed recently with Dr. Joiner. I called at 9 am and they had us in by 3. He gave us our options, and provided answers very quickly- he reviewed the x-rays within 20 minutes of them being taken, and we heard the radiologist report by 10 am the next day. They are very straightforward with pricing and don't seem to overcharge as other vets do. We recently moved farther away, but we won't switch vets.

Wow, I just read these reviews, and they must not be from the same hospital I visited. My puppy was taken there at 8 weeks with parvo. We got her from a breeder, and she arrived sick. We took her to 1st pet, and the emergency staff were beyond amazing. I was kept continuously aware of both the cost and her condition. At night, the emergency doctors held her and petted her. It was hit and miss for 2 days, and she did stay in emergency for 5 days. The previous complaints about cost were very naive Medical care is expensive, so to take a dog to the doctor and not expect a bill is just silly. I can not recommend the staff at 1st pet enough. From the front desk to the doctors (and over a week I met them all), I found them compassionate, very knowledgeable and caring. My advise is to ASK what your fees will be if that is your #1 issue.

My wife and I moved to Arizona 24months ago with our 3 miniature dachshunds....The 5 of us all loved living in Arizona but our 3 girls were getting up in age. The 3 sisters were all 14 years old and the natural signs of aging all crept in about the same time. Our greatest thanks and gratitude will always be extended to Dr. Babyak and the entire staff at First Regional The most caring and sincere pet lovers will greet you in the front office and then the highest quality care will be found in the clinic. Our girls lasted another 12 to 18 months because of the fantastic care that was given by the entire staff. First Regional will always be our primary care vets for all of our 4 legged kids.....Thanks again to the entire staff

Staff is knowledgeable and compassionate. All diagnostics are affordable and vet treatment is thorough. As someone with experience in working with many vets and emergency clinics in the Valley, First Regional is one of the best.
