I've lived all over the country and Don McKenzie is simply the best. I worked with a number of vets in Flagstaff before finding Alpine. I'm not going to go on and on about this. If you want the best small animal vet in Flagstaff, go to Alpine Animal Hospital. It's really that simple.

My only complaint is that I wish I had discovered Alpine Animal Hospital sooner. Everyone was extremely professional, friendly, and knowledgeable from reception to the techs to the veterinarian. I was especially pleased with Dr. Mac Kenzie himself. You immediately feel at ease in his presence. You can tell he is an experienced exotics vet, with an intimate knowledge of snakes both in their biology and handling. I highly recommend his services to any herp keeper in the area.

The entire staff at Alpine Animal Hospital provided the friendliest service and were happy to answer any questions I had about my dog. Dr. MacKenzie is great with animals and their people. I definitely recommend Alpine!

My girlfriend and I were both very happy with the service we received at Alpine Animal Hospital. We brought our sick hamster there, and Dr. Mackenzie was very understanding, and treated us like we'd brought in a dog or cat. He prescribed medicine for our little hamster and, even though she didn't make it, the service was fantastic. We would definitely go back to Alpine, because the Dr. was caring and kind, and clearly concerned about our pet, even if she was just a hamster.

These guys are great. The pricing for some procedures can be a tad expensive, but Dr. Mackenzie is wonderful with both of my dogs, and both of my girlfriends cats. The rest of the staff I have encountered have been pleasant and professional. I would absolutely recommend them over any other vet in town
