Love this place, very nice staff. I've called a few times and they answer lots of questions over the phone. I took my cat to Dr. Lisa for about a year before he passed away and she was awesome. He was very sick so we saw her pretty frequently, every 3-6 months or so. She was so knowledgeable. When I finally chose to put him down, she was very kind and supportive through the process - I had never put an animal down before. Now I have a puppy and I plan to take her there to get fixed and get veterinary care, this place is great.
I came home one Friday evening to find a very sick dog with an eye that looked like it had been enucleated. This was not the case, thank goodness. I had just moved to Flagstaff and had not had time to establish veterinary care for my dogs yet. The staff at Canyon was friendly and we were seen immediately upon arrival. With Dr. Sullivan's treatment, my dog was well within five days and, a month later, is still doing wonderfully with complete resolution of the issue. I was very grateful for the prompt and effective care for my fur kid!
After a neighbor recommended Canyon Pet Hospital, we gave them a try. After one visit, we switched all three of our rescue dogs from Chino Valley over to Canyon. Immediately, we were impressed with their sincere love for animals and their concern for their well-being. One of my dogs required emergency surgery on three different occasions...middle of winter, I-40 was iced over. The Vet not only waited until after 2:00 am for me to slowly crawl the 75 miles from where I live...she called me numerous times to check on the dogs condition while we were stuck on the highway. I not only recommend these outstanding professionals, I encourage you to experience what true committment to your pet is! Thank you all for taking such wonderful care of our fur babies!
I have been taking all my furriends to Canyon Pet Hospital for about 10 years. In fact, before going there I went to Flagstaff and interviewed several facilities about why I should take my 6 "family members" to them for their healthcare needs before choosing Canyon Pet. Their answers and caring attitude made the difference. Canyon Pet got new owners about three years ago, but the attitudes and services have stayed the same or even better than they were. Many of the staff come and go because they are college students, but all are super. Several of the staff have been there as long as I have been going, including Dr. Lisa. She is the greatest! I am happy to have become part of the Canyon Pet family. Dr. Lisa has helped my senior animals have the best life possible and when the time comes for the animals to cross the rainbow bridge, they are very supportive and attentive. You can't go wrong choosing Canyon Pet for all your veterinarian services.
We have been going to Canyon Pet Hospital for over ten years. It is a considerable drive for us, but we feel that the care they give our furry friends is something special. For example, Cuddles (a big male tuxedo cat) had endless bladder infections back-to-back-to-back...... It was a terrible, dangerous situation and exhausting to both cat and people. We had gone to other veterinarians, but they were unable to stop the cycle of bladder infections. At Canyon Pet Hospital Cuddles was finally teated with infusions to his bladder. I cannot give any technical explanation of the process, but he has not had a bladder infection since the process started several years ago. As a follow-up, every three to six months his urine is tested for blood. So far, so good. Dr. Lisa is Cuddles "vet," and she is a jewel. That is just one example. All of our experiences with Canyon Pet veterinarians and other members of the staff--and there have been many--have been positive. At this time we only have cats--ages 11 plus to 15 plus. The situation can be grim sometimes and sad occasions for us, but everyone at the hospital has been helpful and very kind. We really appreciate it.
